Prolly outta just put out the final rankings now, outside of 1 and 2.  Just turn the bowls into a Pro Bowl type of situ.

goddammit they are.  they always have been.  it's great for the players;  shitty for fans of competitive sporting events.

Yeah but the game still counts in the final rankings and against your record.  We need to win so we can say we finished top 10 and beat our bowl opponent.  Why not just make them like exhibition games?

:dunno:  the bowl system has always been this.

that's why the end of conference play is, for all intensive purposes, the end of the competitive football - until next season starts.

  (You've gone your whole life not knowing the phrase is intents and purposes.)

what a dick
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Somebody had to teach him.  We're :kstategrad: , so we bear the burden of representing ourselves as the educated brainiacs that we truly are.

I got over this pretty fast. Only thing left to decide is who to vindictively root against.

you wouldn't be over it if you knew what the website was going to look and sound like when you pulled it up. this one is going to sting for quite a while in darisville.

I'm here, Rick. Not on some madeup sabbatical. But right rough ridin' here shoulder to shoulder. in the crap. Escorting the BCS angina and blood clot folk delicately down the stairs to the cotton closet. When you get a breather, think about the business favor youll pridefully ask for in ten years, using our shared experience on this killbox as leverage to pry up my own deeply buried emotions about this Charlie foxtrot. It better be a killer idea named after a great guy we both lost tonight. And dammit, don't you do that to me. Don't you do it if just doesn't matter anymore.

Well I don't know what the f that means but if what daris is saying is true, that might be the worst part of all of this.  eff.

http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/55076/3-point-stance-va-tech-over-kansas-state

Quote
3-point stance: Va. Tech over Kansas State?

1. The Sugar Bowl’s choice of No. 11 Virginia Tech over No. 8 Kansas State is a stunner. Both have 10-2 records; both had flaccid non-league schedules, both had narrow wins over Miami. The Sugar must not have heard about the Hokies’ 38-10 loss to Clemson on Saturday. Sugar Bowl boss Paul Hoolahan said Virginia Tech’s ability to sell tickets and how it has proven itself “over the years” helped the Sugar make the choice. I thought the bowl had to do with results this season. The Big 12 got shafted twice on Sunday.
