The only reason Florida sucked this year was because of Charlie Weis. His first two years at Notre Dame were a total fluke and the only reason he won was because he had Willingham's recruits. Nothing he did in the NFL matters because the NFL doesn't translate to college football. It was a terrible desperation hire by KU, and we should just drop our football program altogether. KU sucks.

Nobody said Weis doesn't know football . . . but his record on the collegiate level isn't that impressive, the numbers speak for themselves. Maybe he'll be better at ku.

In watching Florida this year, supposedly "medicore" talent or not, Weis' scheme and play calling didn't do them any favors, it was a train wreck.

Geezus, is he going to cancel his account again? Why even bother to post on another team board if you're going to be so thin skinned?

You know KU fans can't be that happy about the hire. Very few have posted here, and those that did weren't overly excited about Weis. Seems it's time Beems sees the reality that this may not be a dream hire. Even his attempts to inflate the Weis hire are weak.

Beems' reaction is just a microcosm of what their fan base is going to do in three years when Weis' best year is something like 6-6 and he's 0-3 against Snyder with three pretty massive ass kickings.

Hell, they may be 0-3 vs. ISU. That program is so much farther behind the other nine schools right now, it may take Weis three years to get to six wins, and I'm just assuming they get a year where everything bounces their way.

You don't turn around 2-23 in less than three years. It took Snyder three, and that was when he was in his prime, and he was able to schedule four patsies to get wins under his belt.

KU is in big trouble because the round robin will just be Hell on them to get this thing turned around. Weis will have 27 conference games in three years, and that's AFTER we swapped Mizzou and A&M with WVU and TCU.

They're just absolutely screwed. Weis doesn't have a prayer.

I just don't understand this hire...at all. The only thing that makes sense to me is that Weiss is making one last cash grab and KU thought they needed a big name hire to excite the fanbase. The reality is they needed to find a no-name DITR SLTH.

This is just going to end so horribly for little bro.

Stoops
Gundy
Patterson
Brown
Tuberville
Briles (for now)
Rhodes
Holgorsen (If WVU makes it here)

and Charlie Weis.

Pretty easy to make the case he is the 10th best coach. Really easy.
