Do those people think they're rough ridin' martyrs or something? People are going about this in some sort of idiotic wannabe revolutionary stance against [capitalism] and really has nothing to do with the authorities. Talk about misguided anger.

It doesn't seem like most of them know what their clear cut goal is, imo.  most of the participants I hear interviews from are simply there because they lost their job and don't seem to have anything else going on right now.

I thought the students at UC Davis were protesting their tuition doubling. :dunno: Regardless of whether you agree with them or not, just walk around them. Big rough ridin' deal. Don't send your campus rent-a-cops to go mace them.

Yeah, I am prob talking out of turn.  I just assumed it was more Occupy stuff.

I don't agree with any of the police action.

When I feel threatened by students, no matter how unarmed, peaceful and seated they may be, I know that Defense Technology 56895 MK-9 Stream, 1.3% Red Band/1.3% Blue Band Pepper Spray has got my back as I casually spray away at point blank range.

It really is the Cadillac of citizen repression technology.

Can someone explain what the UC Davis protestors were protesting? Was it simply an 'occupy' protest or what? From my light reading, it sounded like they were from Cal-Berkley and didn't have anything to do with Cal-Davis.

I'm on the fence here. Someone sway me.

It matters if they were trespassing, loitering or distrupting the Campus. I'm not trying to stir pots here. But if they were blocking a sidewalk and impeding the Campus, they should be forced to leave. How long do you give them to stay there? Shouldn't they be forced to leave?

I don't condone pepper spray on innocent people at all, but something had to be done.

According to this article/Spicuzza (no clue), the protesters were issued a notice of eviction and failed to comply

bottom line is that they deserved it.  don't give me this crap about legality because quite frankly, i'm not concerned with how legal it was to spray these fools.

LMAO, the very first thing in the video is Lt. Pike stepping over the protesters so he could pepper spray their crap.

You clearly don't have a grasp on the implications so I'll spell it out for you. They were breaking the law and resisting arrest for an offense that you can be booked for.

At some point you have to draw the line and straighten crap out. You can't allow for people to sit and protest where ever the eff they want. There's rules for both sides. They were told to leave. They didn't leave. So they got their asses peppered.

What if Occupy Manhattan decided to protest on LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium Turf the day of a game? You have to get them out of there.
