Did we

sack, or even so much as pressure Weeden once tonight?  I don't recall seeing either.  Rushing four is fine if you have the studs to do it.  We obviously do not against a good O-line.  I don't know what the answer is,other than better athelets,  because the few blitzes I've seen have seemed to get picked up.  Somebody smarter than me have an answer other than "fire Cosh" cause that is obvious.      :dunno:

No.

The biggest problem we have shown in the past two weeks is the inability of our front four to get pressure. That's one (but not the only) major differences in our wins compared to our losses. Of course OU and OSU have two of the best offenses (and offensive lines) in the country, so overreacting to that is pretty stupid.

The only one I remember is when we brought 6 on a pivotal third down and got a knock down from our DE end.

At the end of the first half when we held them to a FG, we brought six on third down.

We tried man, we played zone, we brought some blitzes. As others have said, we don't have quite the horses to defend OSU for 4 quarters. OSU did a great job isolating slot recievers against our LBs and made us pay.

Plus we gave them two drives of less than 10 yards because of turnovers. Hard to beat a team as talented as OSU when you do that.

Still, you'd hope we could've at least made a play, maybe held them to a FG on one of those last two drives when the game was on the line.

Again, team loss.

I really think our blitzing scheme/calls are pretty fuvking stupid.  I'd rather see lamur/AB getting after the qb (up the middle, not off the edge) than get beat by a te or slot receiver down the field.

Meshak reminded me a bit of Tamba Hali.  Working his balls off, just getting to the QB a half second too late.

It's pretty god damn frustrating when 90% of the plays in the 2nd half were 10-15 yard passes between the hashes. I mean christ, try anything different. Are we so low on players that we cannot bring in a nickle or dime package? Even if they start busting 7 yard runs on us, it's better then letting them have their bread and butter on every play.
