3 game noncons have no room for roadies at mid majors, especially now that we are  :kstategrad: and don't have to do 2 for 1 to keep costs down

according to ucf we have bought out that game for next year. they also lost the pitt game

I can understand buying out games against teams like Oregon and Virginia Tech, but buying out a game at UCF?  God damn it, I hate how Bill is afraid to play any non-1AA or non-Sun Belt team.  Can't wait to see us replace a road game against a middle of the road team with a glorified scrimmage against North Central Who Gives A eff State :jerk:

This isn't college basketball. Non-BCS is non-BCS. It makes no sense to go play a good non-BCS team on the road. The national perception of winning or losing that game really isn't any different than the national perception of winning or losing against Florida International.

Agreed. Good buyout.

I don't like it because we get 12 regular season Kansas State football games.  I don't know how you guys can get pumped up for games against teams like North Texas and Eastern Kentucky.  That cuts down the number of games from 12 to 10 for me.  It's fine to play one of those teams per year as a tune up game, but playing multiple games against the Kent State's of the world really cheapens the season.  Guess I just need that thrill of the possibility of losing to be interested.  Besides, it's not like we are going to replace non-BCS UCF with a BCS team.  We are going to replace them with Portland State or Western Illinois.

Who cares.  The only reason the UCF game would be more exciting than Western Illinois is because it's a road game.  Buy the sure wins at home, good for the record, good for bowl chances, good for MHK.

also need to consider how we lose a non-con game with the 10 team big12, would be dumb to play AA scrub, Miami, UCF instead of AA scrub, Miami, and Sun Belt scrub

Yes, we absolutely cannot afford to have 2 losable games in the nonconference schedule with our new round robin format in conference play.

Great, let's sign up FIU. Playing in the state of Florida is good for KSU.

if tailgating in warm sunny September for some auto-wins means we also get to make Holiday plans for a bowl....then yes. Consider me pumped up.

I like winning, I like warm weather, I like not seeing players get injured, I like home games, I like being in the top 25 heading into conference, I like being able to play with different plays/schemes to see if they work, I like seeing the team make sure it has its special teams down, I like knowing who is going to be the running back who doesn't fumble, I like day drinking/tailgating, I like sellouts because we lower the price of tickets, I like hearing people complain that one or two plays are the ONLY reason we are undefeated

I honestly don't know what my expectations for next year should be.

I don't think we've hit the ceiling under Snyder 2.0 yet, but we are pretty damn close.  We will most likely finish 8-4 or 9-3 this year.

Assuming WVU and TCU are in and Mizow and aTm are out, I like our odds of at least finishing the same.  Baylor will disappear w/o RGIII (assuming he goes pro), ku and isu are ku and isu, having TTech and UT at home is good.  Plus the ooc is weeeeek.  Really the only two tough games are OU and OSU.

Plus Cats return a lot of players on both sides of the ball (pretty much every skill position player on Off and the DE's and LB's on D).

We would be absolute retards to play all 3 ooc games against FBS teams.  Drop UCF for Directional Ag State, take the extra home game (which will pay for the buyout and then some).
