I sure didn't think we were the #8 team in the country . . . but we didn't even compete today in the 2nd half, Stoops and Venzy absolutely destroyed our staff talent difference or not.

Good game boys... You fans sure did cry a lot in the first 1/2. Think we didn't even have our starting running back the whole game

What ranking will we have at the end of the year?  Cause that's all that matters.

Today was a clear indication that well coached teams with stud players will perpetually put the clown suit on Snyder and his merry band of non recruiters.   Stoops even owned Snyder in the field position/wind battle today.

I mean you're right, but this isn't news to anybody with half a brain.  A great coach with better players will beat a great coach with mediocre players almost every time.   We need better players and we will not be of national relevance until we do.  No crap.

Despite this, winning the games we have so far is pretty rough ridin' cool precisely because we shouldn't have won them.

This.

Who really thought we were the no. 8 team in the nation?  If you did, you were probably a dumbass. It was a fun ride, but we are what we are a solid football team that should get a nice bowl game.

Define nice. To me nice is the Cotton or the Holiday bowl - I can see us making a repeat trip to the pin stripe bowl and that isn't nice no matter how you spin it.

I think we may end up near 25 or so? depends on if we finish over .500 in conference

We lose next week, split with A&M and Texas, win Farmageddon... end up 9-3 ranked #21

I can't excuse that second half performance and no one should. We should be beyond that kind of embarrassment.

They're gonna be ruthless to us tomorrow - we lose next week and were out of the top 25, we split UT and aTm and win Farmagedden and maybe were ranked, but I doubt it. Hell, at this point - I'm not sure if we can win in November

went from thinking we were in good position to steal one if we scored on the 1st poss. of 2nd half, to just wanting it to be over with 3 minutes left in the 3rd.

was pretty awful.

I actually thought we had a chance in the 2nd half because of what we did at Tech... I clown-suited myself.

Yeah. Me, too. That hurt. I was prepared to lose. It was the public shaming that hurts.

Probably not. Something like 45-24 is what I expect.

Heck, the first half wasn't bad. It was just such a terrible 2nd half that it's hard to know what to say. A 35-0 white washing that didn't even seen that close is tough.

We'll stagger into Boone Pickens with the same stupid game plan, save for the cute little wildcat formation every now and then, and Weeden and co. will proceed to disect us, I hope it is as respectable as 45-24 - but Gundy didn't even open his playbook last year and that loss just looked effortless.

I'm not the old [redacted] whos getting 2M/yr to put a quality product on the field and to surround himself with people who aren't idiots. _FAN, I am not an x's and O's guy but for eff's sake - isn't there a plan B? isn't there an adjustment to be made? If your QB is pissing down his homeschooled leg, shouldn't you try something different?

I am just a guy who loves his team and I am unwilling to accept this RIDICULOUS performance. I'm not that guy who throws the "I told you so's" out there, but this SHlT has to stop! There was no answer for the second half and we were able to keep up with them in the first - no adjustments and THAT'S what these assholes are paid to rough ridin' do!!!

Dude, sometimes the other team is much, much more talented then you and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

That being said, Stoops, Venzy and Co  and put a clown suit on Snyder, Cosh and the merry band of non-recruiters in the second half.

I'm not hopeful for next weekend.

Our defensive line got absolutely dominated today and we couldn't block OU's defensive ends.

Honestly there aren't a ton of adjustments defensively we could've made and that's where the main adjustments needed to be made. Our defensive plan obviously assumed we'd see the Landry Jones that we've seen the last couple weeks; a guy who didn't consistently make throws and made plenty of mistakes. We thought we could make them drive the ball with throws and stop the run, and up until late in the 3rd quarter OU had less than 50 yards rushing, its just that we didn't stop the pass at all.  We got the two mistakes in the first half (also pretty good plays by Malone), but we tried to play zone behind, mainly cover 2, and we thought we could get pressure from our front 4 and we got absolutely NONE. The only adjustment would be play man defense and try to blitz and that is not something we are going to see. We got OU's offense playing their best football and that made it extremely tough.

That said, it was an embarrassing performance in the 2nd half and the offense was bad too, but the last 30 minutes (outside of the EKU game maybe) is the only terrible football of the year. Granted, it was really, really bad, but overall this season has still been a great success, its just that the worst is pretty fresh in our minds.

Yeah, I get the whole talent thing - it's just that we were with OU through the first half and because of our shitty adjustments (if there were any) we looked like a bunch is rough ridin' idiots in the ENTIRE second half.

We're never going to be elite again with the majority of our fans having this attitude.
