Oh good christ.  We hijacked one rough ridin' thread and tarded it up and you all act like we turned this place into Wabash Station.  Stop taking yourselves so damn seriously.   :blah:

The thread sucked anyway and it was started by some OU trash.  No offense Sooner friend!

I think they're more worried about all the other dumbass threads on this board.  This thread is clearly destined for great things.   <---But with $3.50 schooners!

oh god would i. the problem is that it takes both of the administrators (chingon and saul) to simultaneously "turn the key" in order to make it happen and saul is both a moderator and an admin and he is one of the four that took the night off so we're pretty much mumped. i appreciate it though. according to my contract i can log out at midnight. can't come soon enough.

Never made it to Dr. Loves, I think they closed my freshman year.  Maybe Daris can confirm/deny this?

since i have to be here for another half an hour...here are a couple of love stories-

1) flood of '93. it reached all the way out there. the upstairs was the bar and nudie stuff and downstairs was movies and seafood. yeah seafood. some friends and i were paid multiple crisp twenty dollar bills to help move some of the seafood from there to his house over in warner pk.

2) graduated highschool from mhs and love was a close friend of a friend. anyway, his gift to us was to let us come in and drink as much as we wanted and pay the "dancers" to dance for us and only us. not sure if it was worth it. free beer for an 18 yr old though.

3) not sure when love got cancer or whatever and the place closed down. early 2000's sounds about right. never went past the highschool night referred to above.

Is it just my imagination or did the P Pig (when it was on Poyntz) serve 25 or 50 cent draws on Wednesday nights and serve to as many underage kids as possible?  I can't remember if this was a dream or if it really happened.
Is that Manhattan?  My God, it's beautiful!

The pig just closed down (not burned). I liked it because you could always get in there an get a drink even when everywhere else was packed. Maybe thats a clue to why they closed. Also they served minors without even blinking.

I really love them for having the Basket of Bacon, which was just a basket of fried bacon with a chipotle mayo dipping sauce. Incredible.

Yes, KK area is now a hotel and a mini strip mall. That gas station is still there though.

Also, if the OU guy wants a hole in the wall away from aggieville. Finn's isn't too far away, and to be honest, I loved that place when I was in MHK.

I didn't realize how old all of you people are.

If I found grey pubes, I'd probably freak out.   The grey in my facial hair is bad enough.
