Funny 2-part LOL from the inaugural Dillon's:

1.  When we moved it to Thursday night so it could be on "national TV" and then EMAWs across the country had to go to sports bars because it was on channel 56437
2.  When KU's sorry-ass squad made Carson Coffman look so good that he got nominated for the AT&T Player of the Week.

3.  When Cas, myself, and 1 other EMAW got escorted out by the 5-0 in the 3rd quarter.

Has the billboard been hit yet this year?

They replaced it with some kind of cancer treatment center billboard.  That still shouldn't make it off limits though......   :peek:

They also have the Wave The Wheat billboard around the same mile marker on the left side of the road if you're eastbound on I-70.

I enjoyed when 30,000 + cat fans packed in to Memorial Stadium in 2000 and 2002.  I wish tickets weren't such a hot commodity this year...

Theres several all over the state. Notable ones to hit are definitely ones in hawk infested cess pools. Johnson County has a large limestone one i believe. theres a good one by my hometown garden city, that frequently gets tagged.

It would have been if it was actually our fault, but it wasn't and those sitting around us agreed.  Now, when I look back, it's one of my favorite LOL's from last year's game.

MIR saw what happened.

One of my favs of all-time:

It was like a dream come true.

Was that from the year that KU's best team ever needed a 4th quarter comeback to beat a 5-7 K-State team? Didn't you guys commission some paintings or something? Pretty sweet. Beats the hell out if DVDs.

I think this is what happened, but I'm not sure.  It was almost a year ago after all.

Cas and I were gloating after the scoop and score.  Dude with a flask in front of us is like "You guys should leave," and starts threatening to fight us and wants to see our tickets and everything.  He is obviously hammered.

We show him our tickets, we were in the right spot.  He continues trying to get us to punch him, we decline.   By this time, he's raised enough of a scene for people around us to go get cops and right afterwards, the squawk guys take off.  So when some usher comes up, we're the only parties to the incident left and says he's been told we have to leave.  We try to tell him that the people he's looking for are gone, and that we ain't leaving.  He goes and gets cops, they threaten to arrest us, they escort us out of the stadium.

I made Scott Pollard lick my shoe in the parking lot after that game.  Good times.

My first Dillon's (before it was Dillon's) was hard to beat:

The crowd shots were great from anything pre-1994 or so.  Everyone just was overjoyed with every positive play.

omg.  Am watching the replay of 64-0 (2002) with my premium account on kstatehd.tv.  So much amazingness I forgot about.

OPENING DRIVE OF THE GAME!  KU kicks off to start the game.  Ell "Ell-Train" Roberson leads us down the field and we earn a few first downs, but miraculously our drive stalls around the KU 45 when KU stuffs Ayo Saba on 3rd and 1.  KU fans are going crazy, I mean absolutely crazy, the defender who made the tackle is stomping around like he's going to assert this same dominance all day.  K-State punts and a speedy young fella by the name of Terrence Newman downs it on the KU 1/2 yard-line.

KU's timid new quarterback Jonas Weatherbee (lol) gets up under center, making his first start ever as a Jayhawk.  He hands the ball off two yards deep in the end zone, where the running back is promptly tackled by Andrew Schull.  Safety.

Q@'s are up 2-0.  KU, as a penalty for being terrible and getting safetied on the first play, must kick from their 20.  Well friends as you might expect the kick is terrible and sails out of bounds.  Penalty.  Scheme Doctor elects to take the penalty, which places the ball 30 yards away from where they kicked off.  So Ell Roberson comes back with a vengeance and completes a 40-yard pass downfield to Taco Wallace on the first play of the series.  Two plays later and we're dancing in that KU end zone.

Lot's of loud high-pitched shrieks in that clip
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

My first Dillon's (before it was Dillon's) was hard to beat:

The cheerleaders/yell leaders slinging cheap frisbees into the crowd (some as high as row 5) is a pretty  moment at the 1:10 mark.
