Now, i don't mean blow up in the literal sense. (

) but i mean who will have a big game?

this is kansas we are talking about. maybe chris harper blows up with 90 yards/2td's? does hubert have his way to another 100+ yard game?

does klein finally hit that 175 yard passing mark?

good question, fff, and one I've been thinking about since Saturday.

People look at KU's "great defensive improvement" (if 47pts and 600 yards could be called that) against OU and think that somehow translates to our game. Problem with that is we run the ball a helluva lot better than Oklahoma....and did anybody see what happened w/ the Ga Tech passing game vs. Kansas? While I don't envision offensive success to that degree I can see 2 or 3 BIG passing plays. Such as a Lockett 60-70 yard TD pass, etc.

This could very well be a game where Klein pops 3 passes in the vicinity of 50-60 yards. Trust me, it's there for the taking against these guys because they are forced to take some chances and they're not an attention to detail type of defense. When you give up over 200 yards on the ground per game AND allow opposing QBs to complete 70% of their passes AND allow opponents to convert well over 50% of their 3rd downs AND are 120 out of 120 in scoring defense...then you have holes seemingly everywhere.

we SHOULD pop them with some big gainers in the passing game. It wouldn't surprise me to see Klein complete only 10 passes for about 225 yards or so.

i thought ku did a nice job vs OU. 600 yards true, but ou's ypp wasn't that great. and their offense mumped them over in the second half.

i'd be nice to see our offense blow up vs KU. a nice 60 yard td pass would be fun. especially for those of us in attendance. good point about gt vs ku. they gashed them a couple of times through the air.

again, different types of animals to defend. It really does put a great strain on a defense that isn't good against the run to defend a two pronged physical rushing attack. It's a different kind of animal than OU. If you're good at defending the run then it doesn't cause you as many problems. Again, I'm not saying we completely butt fl_lck them but it wouldn't surprise me to see 450-plus yards and around 50 pts.

If KU can race out to a 3TD lead on us like they did to Tech, then you will finally get to see the full offense on display. Otherwise, you will just have to settle for our standard ground chuck offense and a 10 point victory.
