I agree with this. I mean, we all know that LHCB(S)S could have easily out-schemed Petrino, but figured it was better to try to beat Pig Aggie without any new schemes and lose than show a brilliant new scheme and then win and have the spotlight on us this year, when the NC is within our grasps. The Cotton Bowl was not a Championship last year and won't be until 2016 or something like that. We had the 3-1 advantage on Pig Aggie and could afford the loss if it happened. A great scheme already in the works setting up a glorious run at the NC this year.

Sumlin is overrated. Great recruiter, but the last two years he has just told Manziel to make plays. 2011 was the best season he will ever have as a head coach.
