easywalk harness, solid rope leash, no retractable leash

  I bought 3 of those harnesses, 1 each in all of the possible sizes I thought might be right.

We use our leash as a harness, learned the trick from our boarder who is also a trainer.

You need a long leash, especially if you have a big dog like we do. But you just bring the leash on the underside of the dog then loop it up the back. If the dog pulls it gives a gentle squeeze the width of the leash and doesn't pull on the face or neck.

for some reason cropping seems bad to me but docking doesn't, i guess because they can't feel pain in their tails

Where the hell did you get that from? My daughter rocked a chair on our dogs chair once and he acted like he was stabbed.

I think he means when they are tiny pups and docking their tail is like pinching a nightcrawler in half.

(I have PTSD from seeing this happen to a friend's gshp litter.)

So I'm not getting a simple direction on food.  Help me understand* what I should be getting out of this?

Quote
The kibble she is currently on is Fromm (and I rotate through the proteins) and a couple of spoonfuls of canned food, this time around I bought Evanger’s.  But don’t feel like you have to keep her on that – there are tons of good dog foods.  I usually look them up here –

Here's what I'm finding trying to get a specific list of what to get.  I've been told that my best deal is to figure out exactly what I'm getting and have it on auto-renewal on that chewy site.

For God's sake just walk to the Target on 2nd Ave and buy a bag of dog food. They even have some hippy natural dog food there.

Relevant, I forgot to get dog food on the way home last night and didn't remember until this am so the dog only got a quarter portion  :frown:

I threw a bunch of dog treats on the floor to make up for it.

I don't even understand the distinction between food and treats.

This should be as routinized as car maintenance.  I want to be told exactly what fuel to put in her, and when to go get oil changes and 30K-mile service, etc.
