I'm sure he is too. Great news Emo. I hope he still has a few years in him if not more. :)

Good to hear, Emo.  Hope he gets back on his feet and you get to spend a few more quality years with him.

Guys, I picked him up last Tuesday 7/5.  He's off two of his meds now, only has the prednisone (steroid) remaining.  I pretty much have to carry him everywhere because he can't handle himself on the slick hardwood floors.  Looks like Michael J Fox on ice skates.  Saturday he went to the bathroom for the first time by himself, so he is definitely improving.  Last night he was a dumbass and tried to walk down the deck stairs by himself, fell about half the way before I could catch him.  But anyway, it looks like he's going to make it!

Emo, anybody that drives 100 miles more than twice to see their dog at the vet in the morning before work is a goddamned hero.

Edit: and deserves good things.

On further pondering your question about black nails referring to not being able to see the pink (quick), i'd just use the pictures above as a guide for where to cut and take a little less off.  You also might be able to use a pen light to see if you can see the quick through the claw.

what kind is that, does it have any wolf in it?  a wolf would dominate the local pups so hard.

Not my lawn, mine is primarily brown besides the weeds.  We can't pick up until 8 weeks  :impatient:

Hate to bring this thread down again. Haven't really wanted to talk about it, but my rhodesian died suddenly a couple weeks ago. Ended up swallowing a portion of a corn cob whole. We didn't have any idea he had done it. Nothing happened for 2 or so weeks, then when it started to move downstream, it perforated the lining of his stomach and intestines. Wasn't really anything we could do at that point. I miss him a lot, guys.
