Yeah, because no team has ever suffered a bad early loss and was able to recover.

At what point was there a recovery?

Anyone who thinks we would have even been competitive had we made the CCG should take a look in the mirror and realized they, themselves, are :powerespect: :bracketmouse:

Anyone who thought we'd be competitive in the game that would've gotten us in the CCG are the same people that talking points like "1 game away from the CCG" are designed for.

After tha LaLa game, pretty much the whole board had us losing about every game for the rest of the season.  Instead, we recovered and won 5 more games and almost made the CCG.  If we would have been competitive is a moot point as we have no way of knowing.  (How big of an underdog were we in 2003?  Sure glad we actually got to play that game rather than jjust listening to the retards on this board talk about how bad we're going to lose.)  And this year, most of this board is saying we aren't going to win another game after tonight.  I just hope you dumbasses actually bought your clownsuits cause renting them is going to get pretty expensive.

62-14 against an SEC team!    :emawkid:

but seriously though, I've been as powertardy of an apologist for Bill as anyone but there's no defending Sean being here or any reason to think we'll get back to 11 win seasons with Bill.  8-4 is the absolute ceiling with this coaching staff, and we won't get there this season.  just stop jtksu.  just stop.  please.

4 conference wins is bad?

You cited being one game away from the CCG as being one of the good things Bill's done that nobody gives him credit for.  4 conference wins that particular year was the same thing as being one win away from the CCG.  I guess my definition of good is different than just "not bad".

Being .500 and looking at being .500 for the foreseeable future under the Snyder regime is bad.

Of course, I know you already know all this.  Being contrarian - not in the funny way like chum and sys do - is just your "thing".

I'm not contrarian, I'm a fan of KSU sports.  As a fan, I root for our team to be successful.  As a Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), you root for us to be bad so you can look cool in front of your buddies because you said we would suck all along.  I guess I just don't understand why people like you even bother following this particular team.  Seems like you would be happier following Oregon or some team like that.  I mean hey, they have weird ass uniforms, their coach isn't old, and I don't believe he has hired any family members.

Less than 8% of my coolness comes from having said KSU will suck and them indeed sucking.

who in the hell is rooting for ksu to suck?   Pretty sure everyone here that wants bill to retire wants him to be replaced by a super elite coach.

Yeah, because so many programs are making homerun hires right now.  Who the hell is coaching tOSU, Stanford, UTenn, etc?  crap, Miami's coach had a losing record at Temple and Brian Kelly is continuing the ND tradition of wasting talented teams.

atleast those guys have a chance at recruiting players or hiring quality ass. coaches without hearing talking points such as:   "where will you be when bill leaves again?"

how did I miss stanford in there...   Real rough ridin' powerhouse you're throwing around....   stanford?   seriously?   Stanford.   that's your argument you're going with?   Stanford?

I guess you had to clean up your argument by putting a classy school in there to make tOSU, uTenn, & Miami sound like a good option for a coach to take a job at a known football school; but ohh...  btw, you may be facing ncaa sanctions for the next 5 years.   rough ridin' Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!).

It's really easy to cheer for KSU to win every game and also hate LHC Bill Snyder. Probably the easiest thing I've ever done.

Stanford isn't a quality job?  since when?  Last time I checked they were like #5 in the nation and had future #1 draft pick Andrew Luck.

stanford is not a great job
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

I never said Stanford was a great job but it's certainly a better job than KState and they hired someone I had never heard of.  When we hire a new coach it's going to be some Turner Gill type or an unproven cooridinator.  You idiots seem to think we're going to replace a HOF coach with some total badass candidate but that's not very likely.

I said this exact same thing like two years ago when you guys made fun of KU for hiring Turner Gill.
