multi page threads

there needs to be an easier way to get to specific pages of a really big thread.  I.E. The cigars thread is 400 pages now, its pretty much hopeless to go back to page 310 or wherever and start reading without clicking through 2 pages at a time.

that worked one time.  the thing is if you only read a few pages then try to pick up where you left off...you gotta click back through all the pages.

The best way to do this is look at the address bar when you are clicking the pages.  For instance the url for page 399 is:

http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=3457.9950

They go in increments of 25...so page 310 is:

http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=3457.7725

The topic ID is 3457 for that thread. The second number is the starting reply number.

In a nutshell...manually change that number. I don't want to implement a mod that displays all of the numbers, that would just crowd up the page.

why would you want to go back to page 310 of that thread?  nothing but the past 2 pages of whenever your reading it is worth reading.

I usually just read the new page, then skip to the last page.  (For the Cigars thread anyway.)
