Did my first 3 categorized climbs yesterday.  Followed that up with an awesome ride this morning.

Can't wait to get home and watched the DVRd tour stages so I can mentally superimpose my miniscule efforts against the pro herculean efforts and tell myself I basically just did the same thing.

Taylor Phinney is so cool...

Him and his breakaway companion caught at the flamme rouge (1 kilometer to go banner:  that was for you Emo) yesterday.

Looked like a great check into the boards to me.

I wouldn't have a problem with it if they had done this in years past.

Looked like a great check into the boards to me.

After 8 straight days in the saddle while accumulating 280 miles and 10,000 feet of elevation I am allowing muself a rest day.  You guys getting any rides in?

Six miles from Chelsea to Central Park and back. Took a break and ran for an hour. :)

Had a great ride last weekend before vacation started. Real nice 25+ along the Ohio River. Crossed in downtown Louisville and the East End Bridge.

Fair and balanced punishments.  I guess the intent doesn't matter as much as impact of your crime.

This TdF has been a snoozefest.  Tired of watching Sky with a stranglehold on the race and tired of watching Kittel win every sprint stage.

I hope someone animates this race tomorrow.

Just waiting for a meteor to take out the Sky bike truck overnight at this point.

A chink in Froomey's armor, perhaps?   :surprised:

Unfortunately I think it is going to take more than him faltering for 500m on a 20% gradient but we can only hope.  Maybe next year they can add about 15 of those little ramps to the route.

Great GC battle with two guys at 27".  Tomorrow will be the last chance to get time on Froome.  With a short ITT on Saturday, seems like Froome has it wrapped up.  I'm afraid Uran and Bardet will just want to protect their podium, rather than take a real shot at Froome.

Two hours in the saddle this morning. Much rather ride in this humidity. Few rollers around the countryside.

Ride yesterday in Raton, New Mexico.  A tune-up for a ride I have planned on Tuesday or Wednesday if the weather permits.  Just wanted to do a smaller climb to see if I had my pace correct for a big climb.

Damn. That's some climbing.

Hard to train for living in Dallas where we get 200' on our biggest climbs.  I just threw a stupid high volume of miles into training and going off of yesterdays ride I think I did ok.

Do any of you ride with a GoPro? If so, which one? What mount?

Currently drinking beers as fast as they can bring them to me.  Trail Ridge Rd from Estes Park to Grand Lake is in the books.  3:11:02 to complete, the climb took me in the neighborhood of 2:11:00.  I over-performed on my expectations and had some gas left in the tank.
