Banning foreclosures makes perfect sense if you accept the premise that GOVERNMENT FIXES PROBLEMS BY PROHIBITING CHOICES THAT PRIVATE PARTIES MAY MAKE.
This is how they "fixed" retirement:
- Prohibit the choice to not join the Social Security plan
This is how they plan to "fix" health care:
- Prohibit the insurance company's from choosing to not accept people into a "voluntary" agreement
- Prohibiting individuals from choosing to not pay for what others receive
This is how they plan to "fix" banking:
- Prohibiting individuals from making choices about the terms and types of agreements that they may voluntarily enter into
- Prohibiting the choice of consumers to not invest in an institution (i.e. let it "fail") if it is "too big"
This is how they plan to "fix" housing:
- Prohibiting the choice of a lender to claim their collateral (foreclose) under terms voluntarily signed by a borrower (the mortgage)
Make no mistake: When the government "fixes" a problem, it can and will only do so by prohibiting individual choice and MAKING YOUR DECISIONS FOR YOU.
