My job is super boring but I'm rough ridin' great at it so I just do nothing for a long time then work a few hours for a few days and then go back to doing nothing. Definitely rarely go over 50% in a day. I really wish my industry was more remote friendly because I could easily chum1 this bitch.

This is the same for me.  I do work remote though, but a lot of what I do has to be done after hours.  So during actual work hours I don't really do much, and have considered taking on a second gig.

Softest generation, EVER!

Idk man, I've been getting some massive raises recently based largely on the fact that most of my peers don't like their jobs. Maybe this generation is actually smart and realizes that employers have a lot more cash to cough up to labor than they've been letting on.
It's also alot easier to know what other people in your position/experience level make compared to 20 or so years ago.

Think you're underpaid? Just responded to a couple of Wackys that are jumping in your LinkedIn DMs and ask what the salary range is for that position.

I really need to set up a LinkedIn. I have been passively looking for a new job for about a year and about a month ago I decided it was time to leave so now I'm actively looking.

Yes, that's the only place I've looked so far. Had an interview last week and another tomorrow.

I used Linkedin a lot at my old job. Not so much anymore, but I have way too many resources to know what to do with these days. It's a good problem to have.

Man, I'm not complaining, because what my company has done for me lately is amazing. Just something I wanted to reflect on.

Why are people in the Northeast such cocksuckers to deal with? Where did their sense of bad person entitlement come from? Thanks, I'll hang-up and listen off the air.

It’s cultural. They don’t intend it to be rude or mean. And old southern ladies calling you “shugga” can basically mean cocksucker based on tiny little subtleties that our Midwest brains/ears can’t hear.

I think the stereotype is that east coast tells you what they're thinking to your face whereas Midwesterners are nice to your face but talk a lot of crap behind your back.

You would be a grumpy cocksucker too if you had to live with 100 people on top of your house and thousands more within a block.

That pretty much is it, it's like everyone thinking Canadians are nice when really they're hyper passive aggressive and you don't realize it.

FTR also wacky we got a vendor who's based out of NJ, and one of the guys is just the worst type of human being to deal with, regardless of being from NJ or not. They are in general more in your face.

The Canadians I have interacted with are all super nice.

"Oh ya, I remember your company. In fact we looked into it last year with one of your co-workers. It's a great product but we just don't have a need for it right now, ya know? Sure sure, follow up with me in 6 months."

Also I had no idea the accent from Trailer Park Boys was a real accent until I called up some Canadian company in New Brunswick or something. It was all I could do to keep from bursting out laughing just thinking about Ricky and the boys up to no good.

Must be why they always lol at me for working remote in Kansas City.

People in places with a high cost of living need to feel superior to justify living there.

Yeah, I usually wouldn't even bring up where I'm located. They just ask me where the hell I am, because my cell phone number starts off with 785...

Yikes! Mich is already in too deep and has lost his Midwestern roots. He thinks they're being nice to him.  :frown:
