She can't be close to the students I work for now, but I get it. I appreciate the heads up, fellas. I think the base they hinted at towards me, plus working from home, and the travel made me excited. I'm easily bored with my job these days.

Nothing. I thought I did well, but it's been absolute crickets. I reached out to them as well and I'm getting the heisman. Kind of weird. Who knows. This is the 3rd go around with them. Weird to show that much interest, but back off like that.

"third go round" as in you've had three interviews? Did they give you a timeline after you completed the interview? Did you ask for one?

The first go around was a phone interview, but I took my current position because they offered what I was asking for at the time. Second go around was two months ago for a sales position, but they went a different direction. 3rd time around was for a corporate recruiter position and this is when they asked me to do the simulated computer interview. It's been very bizarre.

So first go 'round for this position. It is not altogether uncommon to go weeks without hearing back on an interview. Some places may be interviewing their initial group of candidates over a period of a month if they have a lot to schedule
:adios:

Did you ask the computer when it was going to follow up with you on the opportunity.

I know a guy who lived in Bejing for a few years and from his updates it seemed to suck - tons of pollution and people. Hopefully puni is going to Japan though so that is probably better.

I'm not 100% on it. They are being unreasonable with the timeline and it's freaking me out.

Actually, I'd stay somewhat firm if you are just asking for a few extra days. Are they really thinking that going with a different candidate will be as fast as giving you a few more days?

Huh? There was talk of China earlier, and then his pic of Godzilla indicated that he is going to Japan so I am saying that IF it had been China that might suck but since it seems to be Japan that will not suck (maybe).

Also, puni - Do you want to work for a company that can't even give you a few days to decide if you want to move to another country?

Speaking of food and the far east (and awful time zones), I just had a nice chat with a noodle company in California. R&D too, which is fun.

It's the start date as much as the acceptance date. 45 days seems impossibly fast for something like this to me.
