Week equals five days in most civilian jobs. I currently get three weeks plus ten holidays.

When I was in the Navy, we did days and weekends counted. :(

Take the remote

No remote, just some small box connected to TV that lets you go up or down 1 channel.

Just changed it to the weather channel when I came it...

I'm curious if the person changes from TWC to Fox News. Or if they only change from CNBC to Fox News.

It's in the name

What, you can just work whenever you feel like it?  Is it paid time off?

It just means its not tracked, and you can take however much vacation your boss will allow you to take - yes its paid.

Sounds like people in this thread have crap jobs/bosses.

Some think its a scam because some people are too stupid to use it. When there is no accrued time to "lose" people often end up taking less time off. But that is their own fault for being dumbasses.

Agreed. It's only a problem when the employee is already a problem.

My advice is to just get your work done and leave, why are you trying to have fun at work?

Sounds like you're conditioned like me to the daily grind of "being present". I feel guilty too if I leave early, come in late, etc. I know I shouldn't because I get my crap done in a timely manner...but our corporate culture of the past 20 years has been beaten into me.

Myself and half of my employees are full time work from wherever and nobody has to be anywhere at any specific time outside of client and internal meetings. There are positives and negatives about it but ultimately it works very well if you have driven people and you hold them accountable to getting results.

I spent the last two weeks in the office with a new hire and it was very refreshing. But I’m happy to be back at my home office in joggers.

I do get excited when they fly me in to the home office from time to time. They're flying me in, in December, just for the Holiday party. That should be fun.

i'll never voluntarily go back and i don't think i'd be capable if it was forced upon me.

I would convince myself that I liked the change for a week and then realize how much I missed the home office.

Data point: I was so hung over I laid in my bed for 2 hours this morning with my laptop next to me so I could respond to IM’s.

The last month at work has just sucked major ass/balls/taints.  My car transmission might have went out on Tuesday.  It’s just been a long month, guys.
