High praise, considering the source!   :surprised:

ATTN TOWNIES-

Quick question. While I was in school I lived in Manhattan full time, 3 summers and nearly all of winter breaks. Obviously I will never be an "Official" Townie but do I qualify for partial townie membership?

Thanks, I'll listen off air.

Ben ji, can you tell me all the weidest things about MMS/9th Grade Center building? If not then you probably aren't a townie.

So for some reason it just popped into my mind, does anyone remember that awesome place in the town center that was for kids and had like a fake news studio and a bunch of other rad stuff?  Great times.

I don't, but my 6th grade baseball team got permanently banned from the arcade that was just off of the food court for whatever mischief we were causing.

Did not realize 8manpick was an MHK'r.  :surprised:

Guys. Guess what. Got this email from my dad recently.

Quote from: Papa SB
The LHC Bill Snyder of MHS Tennis

Dear Former Ihndzz Tennis Star SkinnyBenny,

The Mercury has an article today about the "new" boys' tennis coach at MHS--Joyce Allen.  Chuck Kipp, who had succeeded Bob Kelly who had succeeded Joyce Allen, took a job as an assistant principal in Garden City.  Apparently, they couldn't find any other teacher to take over and the schedule didn't work out for any of the rule 10 candidates, so Coach Allen is back in charge.

Dad

Hey Manhattanites.  What was the story with that old bald homeless dude who always walked around the mall and near the library?  He wore a red hoodie and walked with a limp.  He still around?

Was in town in the 60's.  Hippie.  Did a ton of LSD.  Moved away.  Reappeared many years later with mental problems.  I heard more about him, but that's all I can remember.

But remember that kid (true) insomniac who was constantly walking around, listening to his walkman.  Skinny, brown hair.  I talked to him several times because he would go into the bars at night to chat with people.

billy

first time going through this thread. did Billy always have his jeans hiked up to the mid chest region?  because there is now a man in my hometown that matches this description perfectly ie. headphones, beer, skinny
