I wish we could get the Pinstripe Bowl back. Does that one even still exist?

My bowl season proposal:

1) add enough bowls that every FBS team can go to one
2) place all the bowls in tiers based on quality/prestige/etc
3) make groups of teams for each tier (ex, all teams with 8+ wins, then all with 6/7, 4/5, etc.
4) lotto style selection out of each group. Make it the ping pong balls, televise it, make a whole production. “And now for the Case IH Wheat Bowl… first up…. it’ll be the Runnin Rebels of UNLV… and their opponent… wow Jim, it’s the Duke Blue Devils. Two former national champions in basketball will meet on the frozen plains of Kansas for some pigskin action”

Saw this in kstatesports' sales email today, and I hadn't before seen so plainly how shitty it is.

Any bowl that's outside of Florida, New Orleans, and California sucks ass and should be eliminated immediately.

there are 43 bowl games this year (including the CFP games). only 13 of them will be played on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. ALL 7 of the big 12 bowls (excluding Sugar bowl) are in that group of 13 on tuesday/wednesday. that doesn't seem odd to you?

 :don'tcare:

No because they're the same week. If we wanted to play earlier bowl games then we can get more weekend games. I can't even remember the last time K-State played a bowl game on a weekend. I feel like I only see bowls like the Las Vegas Bowl and the Idaho Potatoes Bowl on weekends. Or the rare occasion that New Year's Day is on a weekend.

The only one of those days that I have a very real problem with the day is that moronic January 4th date, like wtf, that's motor city bowl type crap.

i mean obviously it sucks for attendance

ESPN owns almost all of the bowls, they don't give two shits about attendance. Those weeknight games over Christmas break are ratings gold.

The last time we played in a BWW bowl, I went to my local BWW to watch the game, because why wouldn't you? Welp, it was Saturday night, and they wouldn't switch any TV's off of MMA.  This was in Overland Park.  So, I went home and watched the game.

I was furious, but fortunately I got to watch the game with the King and F14 and got rowdy as hell and crap talked my cousins that went to Michigan who did not care at all.

Also got banned from mgo or whatever that message board was for telling them that Brady Hoke was killing their program.

Cheez-It Bowl
Projection: Florida State vs. Kansas State
Florida State bowls for the first time under coach Mike Norvell and the Seminoles should get one of the ACC's top-tier games as a high finisher in the Atlantic Division. Florida State is rolling coming down the stretch and has a chance to win nine games to close it out against Louisiana and Florida over the final two games. That's quite an accomplishment for Norvell, who has handed LSU one of its two losses this fall.

I am getting so horned up just thinking about playing in the sugar bowl on NYE. New Orleans is such a fun town and to be able to enjoy it and Katz fball at the same time?

If we fall down to the Cheez-It, I'll be doubly pissed - once that we didn't earn a better bid, of course, but mostly because that's the closest B12 bowl site to my house... and I'll be in Kansas that week.

I think I'd rather play Alabama than LSU. We already destroyed LSU last year, and I'm thinking that maybe Alabama would give us a better game.
