6-6 and 7-5 are terrible records to be having too (I think we go 8-4 before the bowl at this point). It's practically over 50% of all FBS schools get a bowl invite at this point, it's a joke. Need to limit 15-20 Bowl games MAX. Maybe then we could understand that anything less than 8-4 is a bad year.

Why the need for limited bowl games? The players largely enjoy playing in them and they draw great ratings, which means people like watching them. I don't understand why people certitude criticize bowl games, you don't have to watch them. Besides what the hell else is on TV that time of year anyway?

Yep, and in general 7-5/8-4 is a decent place to be (as long as you have some better years sprinkled in)

It only has to be good for the players and the people watching it. Your take is like insisting the only television shows that should exist are ones that win Emmys.

As to your second point do you just want K-State fans to just protest bowls you don't deem good enough? The last 5 years of LHC Bill Snyder's tenure is some pretty solid proof that K-State fans aren't willing to "settle on a crap season and a crap bowl."

 No, my take is merely not to celebrate going 6-6 and to to diaper bowl because they have 80+ team slots to fill because college football has become more about money than it ever has in the past. Expectations need to be met, going 6-6 is far below expectations. We are a decent program now, we need to have the mentality of one.

If you get excited to watch Kansas State football after a 6-6 season, to play their bowl game, more power to you. Probably the exact reason why we keep hiring mediocre coaches. I don't want to settle on mediocre.
