Was it 1993 or 1995 when the KSU band director was unaware of said skits and completely decapitated one of the "actors" as he was messing with the drum major in a scripted battle? Willie was unaware of wtf was going on and just sort of stood there as the band director sat on top of those guys. Funny crap...

The best was when we played someone like the Sycamores or some crap, and they put the opposing team's jersey on a potted tree, then Willie tackled it. I'm sure the opposing team then realized how ridiculous their mascot was.

Willie tackling the jayhawk showing off the fake Orange Bowl trophy before the '09 ku game was awesome. Even though I sat in the upper deck, it was still great to watch.

I'm the same way. Love these things as long as someone gets tackled. I love our entire pre-game to be honest.

Was it Okie State that got really really pissed about us portraying them as hicks? I'm sure they all do, but one of them seemed more upset than others. Like, a newspaper dude wrote a column about it.
