Texas asks permission to air its Super Bowl on LHN

Texas and its ESPN partner have approached Kansas State as a possible second game to be broadcast on the Longhorn Network this fall. As of now, only the Rice game will be shown on the network, assuming it finds some carriers. Asked to confirm KSU as a partner, Dodds texted that Texas is "looking at all of our home games."

I'd rather kick their ass on another network, but whatever.

:dubious:  They can GTFO with that request unless the LHN is carried by Time Warner in HD.

What if we agree to play UT on the Longhorn Network and then we also show the game on K-StateHD.TV? Would be pretty cool to see a couple of rivals' networks battle it out over the rights to the same game.

Can we give them permission to televise our recruits' games too?

Would take, mostly because I'm going to be there anyways.

Also, I want to make it extremely clear to Texas that we're okay with whatever they want.  Hell, if they want us to be on LHN, and they want us to intentionally lose the game by 7 or 8 touchdowns, I'm all for that.

That could be a good deal if we get paid a comparable rate to what we get for being on whatever network would otherwise pick up the game.

Can we get that as an emoticon just like the k-statriot flag? I has not the skills for such work.

dear texas,

i am honored to have been selected from all of the big 12 teams to inaugurate the longhorn network's conference broadcasts.  as you know, it is my fondest wish to be not only the first big 12 university selected for this prestigious position, but also the first university to appear with texas on the lhn this fall.  please let me know if there has been any response to our request to replace eastern kentucky, or whoever, in the lhn's debut game.

yours in lhn success,
kstate, esq.

ps - did you hear about aggie, lol.

But, but it's a conspiracy, they'll have Longhorn Friendly announcers, and, and they'll talk about Texas more than us and, and . . .

Oh wait, I was channeling a AOT (Afraid of Texas) fan there . . .
