Just because he received two purple hearts and did two tours in Iraq doesn't mean he didn't like to run his mouth or hit on the wrong guys girl. I have seen plenty of ignorance in Aggieville, enough that I don't glorify every guy in uniform. Many are great, but it only takes one bad apple...I have a feeling that the Mys3BlackMales are just something to comfort the community. I have a feeling its not a serious lead.At 2AM, everyone thinks they're bulletproof. I would assume it was a military on military fight. There is a reason why at least one bar is KSU students only.

Suspect arrested in fatal beating caseWhitney Hodgin [email protected]Two local men were arrested Wednesday and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the beating death of Kevin Cockrum, according to a news release from the Riley County Police Department.Justin Charles Taylor, 24, 619 Vattier St., was arrested at RCPD after being questioned by police, Det. Brad Hooper said. He is confined on $250,000 bond.Levertis Lee Horne, 20, of 516 Thurston St., was also arrested and charged with second-degree murder. His bond is $125,000.Taylor owns the white vehicle that contained three males that were pictured in Aggieville surveillance footage taken near the scene of the crime at about the time Cockrum, a decorated Army veteran, was attacked at 2 a.m. on Aug. 11.Police originally said the vehicle was a white Lexus, but they determined it was actually a Mazda after locating it on Monday.Cockrum, 31, of Manhattan, was found beaten and unconscious in an alley at 10th and Moro streets. He was transported via helicopter to Via Christi in Wichita and died the next day from massive head injuries.There are multiple suspects in the case, according to the news release.When asked if the beating was a random act of violence perpetrated by suspects who are still at large, Hooper said "this is not a situation where there's someone out there threatening the community."The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.
