Never heard of tiesto.  Is that a DJamer?

Avett Bros
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
fun
MGMT
Passion Pit
Edward Sharpe and the magnetic zeroes
Imagine dragons
Grouplove
21 Pilots

That's just a really solid lineup.

Yes, he is. Don't forget Yeasayer (), ZZ Ward or Blondfire!
:adios:

I may have heard a yeasayer song before...haven't heard of the other two.

I dont really like DJamer's.

Not a shocker. Just an awful lineup minus 3 or 4 really good acts.

With a name like Kanrocksas I'm shocked it made it this far. Or, alternatively, with a name like Kanrocksas without featuring shitty metal or hair bands I'm shocked it made it this far.

That's the thing it's a great lineup for a festy in KS but dumbasses are too busy drinking busch light and molesting high school girls at Country Stampede to appreciate good music

That's not true. 2011 was good, this wasn't.

If your music taste spans multiple genres it's pretty good. Not amazing by any means but worth $200 for the weekend. If you have no interest in electronic music then no, this probably isn't your festival to attend

Pretty Lights is good. The dubstep, not so much. Was Tiesto really going to sell 30,000 tickets? The promoters were on crack for their expectations, none of these acts would sell out the Midland let alone the Sprint Center. Not to mention their festival is sandwiched between Lumineers, Mumford and Sons, Killers/Queens of the Stone Age concerts at Sandstone. All acts that they tried (and failed) to book.

Bonnaroo is, like, $50 more for two extra days, camping, and 700 times as many bands. Obviously if I were going to do either I would lean toward Bonnaroo. I mean come on.

To be fair, Bonnaroo beats every festival in every way.

Truth. But where in the world does Kanrocksas get off being only a little bit cheaper than Bonnaroo but having waaaaay less?

didn't realize it was the same weekend as stampede. stupid move, even if they may not be direct competitors.

The people who run Bonnaroo actually own the land where they have the festival, which I imagine helps a ton. They can probably book bands more easily by drawing 80k every year, too.

if/when the next concert promoters (or is this a festival?) decide that KC needs one of these concerts, hopefully they pic a time of year that is hotter than when kansrocksas was held.

A Saturday in the fall would be ideal. They could get all the students from Lawrence that have nothing else to do on those days.
