Snyder sets the bar far too low for measuring Gundy's worth.Oh, I know. just trying to make sure that the tucks posting in this thread realize that he is way better than our coach.Snyder in his prime > Gundy in his prime.....and it's not even closeWe're in the year 2011 and Gundy is in his prime, while Old Ballz is pushing 80. No matter how much you pray about it, Snyder isn't going to get younger/smarter.

Gundy is better than Snyder. Better recruiter, better coach, better looking.Better.
I completely agree. Snyder is definitely not in his prime anymore and he will never be again. But let's not make Gundy out to be some all world elite coach. He definitely isn't. One top ten finish and an Alamo Bowl win with all the advantages he has would make him about average or maybe a little better at best.

I don't even think Gundy has reached his prime yet. The guy just turned 40 a few years ago.Quote from: MixBerryCrunch on August 05, 2011, 01:49:42 PMI completely agree. That's pushing elite territory.

That's pushing elite territory.Chris Peterson, Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, Gene Chizic, Chip Kelly....of course it's very subjective and you can say "well so and so hasn't won a title" I don't think that matters because he will never win another one and LSU was never really dominant since he's been there, even when they won the NCG.Les Miles is far from elite. Name 5 better current college football coaches.

Winning 1 NC at a school that has been a traditional powerhouse does not make him elite imo. Of course it's a very subjective term so you can put him on that pedestal and keep sucking him off all you want.

in the end, EMAW will always win.
