What's with all of these schools using more black and silver in their unis to try and be icy?  I like the look black and silver can give to a single color or two, but why not just make the team's colors darker or something?

Easy. Kids are easily manipulated. BFBS (black for black's sake) caught on and nearly every school is trying to up merchandise sales, and more importantly recruit these stupid-ass 18 year olds by throwing shiny stuff at them. They do it because it works.

It's pretty great. I wonder how it would look with the gator being normal color (Green, with the orange oval) and the accent stripe for the blue being orange instead of silver

the uniform that doesn't feature their clashing, offensive to the eye color scheme  (red, blue, yellow) looks the best.
