Will the media every question this nepotism?
GMAFB People!  Hate on the guy all you want, but at least do it for legitimate reasons.  Nepotism is completely unheard of in college football?  Do any of these names ring a bell?

Bobby, Terry, Tommy, Jeff Bowden
Bob, Mark, Mike Stoops
Lane, Monte Kiffin
Bo, Carl Pelini
Steve, Steve Jr. Spurrier

(After a simple google search I found the following)
“USA TODAY research found that 13 of 120 (10.8%) NCAA Bowl Subdivision head football coaches have a relative on staff.”  USA Today – 11/11/2009

Bowl Subdivision assistant coaches related to their head coaches as of 11/11/2009:
Name                    School                      Position                           Relationship to head coach
Kendal Briles           Baylor                      Receivers                          Son of Art Briles
Brennan Carroll       Southern California   Tight ends                          Son of Pete Carroll
Ryan Cubit              Western Michigan     Quarterbacks                      Son of Bill Cubit
Bryce Erickson         Arizona State           Running backs                    Son of Dennis Erickson
Monte Kiffin             Tennessee               Defensive coordinator          Father of Lane Kiffin
Jay Paterno             Penn State               Quarterbacks                      Son of Joe Paterno
Carl Pelini                Nebraska                 Defensive coordinator          Brother of Bo Pelini
Paul Petrino             Arkansas                 Offensive coordinator           Brother of Bobby Petrino
Aaron Price              Texas-El Paso          Co-offensive coordinator      Son of Mike Price
David Reaves           Tennessee               Quarterbacks                      Brother-in-law of Lane Kiffin
Steve Spurrier Jr.     South Carolina         Receivers                            Son of Steve Spurrier
Mark Stoops             Arizona                   Defensive coordinator          Brother of Mike Stoops
Dick Tressel             Ohio State               Running backs                     Brother of Jim Tressel
Jonas Weatherbie     Louisiana-Monroe     Passing game coordinator     Son of Charlie Weatherbie

Don't even get me started on past coaches, NFL, basketball, etc.  Nepotism is a very big part of sports, and always has been.

Yeah but those coaches and their relatives are coaches. The Pelini's and Stoop's all started at the bottom. Sean was a do nothing admin who was given a job rather than earn it.

Those coaches weren't coaches before they were coaches.  I'm not going to do the research, but I'd bet money a portion of them got their first job from a family member.  Sean was a 1st team all-american special teamer.  He coaches special teams.  He has watched K-State have traditionally excellent special teams.  How 'bout we damn him AFTER he coaches at least one season that K-State sucks on special teams.  He is still the football operations guy (whatever it is) so this isn't like he took some huge new role.  Seems like a pretty petty thing to get bent out of shape over to me.  Of course, that's what this board loves to do.  Get all fired up over some trivial thing, and then wait to be proven wrong.

As is Cosh.  Assistant to the assistant?  Again, read his bio, he helped special teams coach in the mid 90's also.  I'm not arguing he's going to be the best assistant-head-special teams-operations guy-coach in the world.  I'm just not arguing he's f'n terrible before he ever even has a chance to prove himself.  My point was that the nepotism argument is a joke, and the argument that "well those other coaches are good" is moot until it's proven that Sean won't be.

Very nice input.  It is noted that a few on this board dislike debating with facts, and result to childish behavior when left without constructive criticism.  I apologize if I come off as a db, i'm slightly annoyed by the general mindset of negetivity here.

Those are facts.  Do you want to live with that.  K-State should not hire a coach with 0 head coaching experience.  That is what the FCS is for.

The nepotism extends to his friends. How many shitty coaches has he not fired when they proved they needed to be?

Carl Pelini's first job was an assistant at Cardinal Mooney (High School). 6 years later, he became defensive coordinator at Blue Valley (High School). He may be a disgusting human being, but he didn't become a coach because of nepotism - he's been working as a coach at every possible level for his entire career. None of the other coaches you mentioned received an ounce of nepotism, either.

You sound like you're just a typical lib, afraid of facts.
