I think Gill deserves at least 5 years to right the ship beems.  I got your back on this.

How many years did they give Ron Prince?  Three?

yep, three.  disgusting.  gill deserves more time (if needed).

It's amazing how you're able to draw so many conclusions on Gill based on one season.  Any idea what Snyder's record was in his first year at K-State?

I'm with steve dave.  You cannot judge a coach on 4 years.  6 is the minimum.  Glad we got rid of that moron AD who fired Prince without giving him the chance to mold the team.

Gill already has his guys sprinting up hills and not walking at the end of the sprints.

And most importantly, not sleeping with women

We all remember the Orange Bowl, obviously, but how about the other bowls?

Careful, 'cat fans... your knowledge of this poll could possibly out you as a squawk, and we wouldn't want that to happen, now would we?

 :bracketmouse:

nice run y'all had.
Academics is a stupid word.

Academic schools are synonymous for being rich, powerful and exclusive, three things Kansas State is not.

So when people throw the word "academics" around, that's really what they are referencing.

Turner Gill will get things turned around. You can't clean up the mess Mangino left in one season. It's going to take 5 or 6 seasons to change the culture. I hope Kansas fans realize this.

Gill went 3-9 last season and finished with the #34 recruiting class in the country.  K-State wasn't even top 50.

I'd be willing to give Gill four or five years.  The risk/reward with Gill is pretty one-sided.  If he doesn't win, big deal... KU football hires a better coach in a few years.  If he does start winning, KU will have one of the best young coaches in the country (who can recruit at a much higher level than Mangino did).

exactly.  when everyone from lawrence was calling for his head last season almost threw up.  you read their boards now and they still want him fired and the way it sounds they are making big pushes to the AD's office to get him moved asap.  I think it's disgusting.  I think the 5 to 6 seasons (depending on other outside factors) is the minimum.  he deserves that much.  rough ridin' KU fans.

Yes, there is a top secret plan to hire Harbaugh after ku gets invited to the Pac 10, since ku is truly an elite academic and athletic powerhouse.  I didn't think anyone else noticed--maybe people are distracated by the 3 conference wins in 2 years in football, the campus riots, multiple criminal charges against student athletes, etc.  But if you keep your eye on the ball, you can see the top secret plan at work.  Cheyenne Zulu is the change agent, Lew Perkins was the initiator.
