Saturday night's district championship game between the Krop High School basketball team and Hialeah-Miami Lakes was won with a buzzer-beater.

Krop was almost ineligible for the post-season because the Florida High School Athletic Association determined they didn't file the correct immigration papers for player Brian Delancy. But a Miami judge decided it would be unfair to keep the whole team from playing.

Krop then went out and won the district championship 57-55 in dramatic fasion. The game was tied with 5 seconds left. Angel Rodriguez got the steal and hit the game winner.

also found this while looking for the krop-mhl game results.

limestone or bsac, does kansas have an extradition treaty with florida?  i'd like to see ar-t lead mhs to the state title (underneath the watchful eye of coach wallace judge).

Assuming they come out of this unscathed, it looks like Rodríguez and Kroc are a great pipeline for the future. VERY nice!  :emawkid:

I've never understood what Miami's version of Pitch Weekly has against Shaky and his guys.

Beasley/Walker?

I have a bigger man crush on him than I did Beasley/Walker. I just loved Beasley/Walker because of what it meant for the program.

I really like the thought of being a rebel program, in the mold of Huggy's Cincy squad.  I welcome Angel with open arms.

the haters emerge victorious.

In the end, no one remembers that Memphis technically never won a game that Derrick Rose played in.

They remembered he lead them to the national championship game.

yeah, something like that would have eaten at the haters' souls forever.  this is more like if rose got to the sweet 16 and then was barred from participating in the remaining games, which is a clear win for the haters.

So how tall is Diaz? Seen him listed at 6-10, 6-11, and 7 foot.
In the two pictures, he appears long, lean put with some muscle. I'm hopeful.

Yeah, Scout, Rivals, and ESPN have him at 6'10", 6'11", and 7'0" respectively, official KSU press release from when he signed says 6'11" but I think they just used Rivals #'s.  Just as a compromise I'll go with 6'11" for now until I get some in-person comparisons, which probably won't happen until next fall.

Diaz took a quick pass and, after a couple of dribbles, pulled up and buried a three-pointer from the wing with 1.5 seconds left.
