man, that's a great find uw.

it's kinda nice to see george get some positive recognition.  dunno if you ever saw it, but some anti-krop posters on one of those florida hs boards were attacking him pretty harshly last year.

That msg board convo was the 1st I'd heard of George, but really, they were attacking an HS kid? Sounds like some classy bbs'ing there.

diaz keeps on dominating:

Quote
• Hialeah-Miami Lakes 65, South Miami 54 -- SM: Holcomb 9, Bartley 6, Hill 25, Cratit 2, Carter 6, Simmons 6. HML (6-1): Vandidir 11, D.Williams 2, M.Williams 15, Diaz 28, Balbuena 9. Halftime: HML 36-28. Three-pointers: Vandivir, Balbuena 3, Holcomb, Hill 5, Carter 2. Rebounds: Diaz 11. Assists: Vandiver 5.

Also, on Thursday night, Krop whipped Goleman, but Angel didn't play again.

Diaz is probably ahead of where JHR was at that point, isn't he?  I could see JO being a nice player for us later this year and (moreso) the next two.

krop (ar-t) plays hialeah miami lakes (diaz) tonight.

krop begins the city of palms classic tomorrow.  meyer and others should be there, hopefully krop can advance to play a name team.

I thought this would be a game that got more attention, but the MH only gave it a box score:

Quote
• Krop 65, HML 41 -- HML (7-2): Vandiver 6, Diaz 26, Williams 9. KROP (8-0): Nagar 8, Delancy 16, Mann 10, Rivera 2, George 2, Rodriguez 16, Karell 5, Kerr 3, Haughton 3. Halftime: KROP 47-14. Three-pointers: Nagar 2, Delancy 1, Rodriguez 2, Karell 1, Kerr 1. Rebounds: Karell 5. Assists: George/Rodriguez 7. Steals: Rivera 3.

The halftime score will tell you everything you need to know about this game.

Ottawa wins a buzzer-beater, and:

Quote
Officiating aside, Ottawa sophomore Semi Ojeleye provided the Stallions plenty of headaches on his own.

Ojeleye scored 30 points in the game and helped Ottawa build a 36-24 halftime lead. However, behind Nunn, sophomore D.J. Sayles and junior Davante Clark, the Stallions ralied.

Dr. Krop has a joker now with 6 deep balls...ANGEL is very savvy and will be great for Frank Martin.

but mcadoo had a good 3rd and norfolk up by 7 to start the 4th.

i just realized the last tweet may be confusing.  the joker is brian delancy, not ar-t.  delancy is a sr. guard, a former teammate of tony mitchell at cla.

60-60 with 1:20 left in the game. Is it gonna be McAdoo or Rodriguez...both are tough as nails.

Norfolk beats Krop. McAdoo finished 14, Rodriguez 17 but struggled w/shot selection (like his attitude a lot)

goddamnit.  now in the loser's bracket.  play tomorrow @ 11 am central.  unless north port somehow wins (little chance), there probably won't be any scouts there.

Dr. Krop 65, North Port 57...Angel Rodriguez with 24 points.

from the tweets, it seems like evan daniels of scout was on hand.  didn't seem like any other nat'l guys were, but a few regionals.

someone tweeted that ar-t had experienced a knee problem earlier in the season, clearing up the missed games that trey reported here.  next game looks to be tuesday at 12:45.

Game 5: Dr. Krop: 65 North Port: 57 – Angel Rodriguez (Kansas State) would lead the show against in-state program Florida North Port, scoring 24 points on 8-of-18 from the field. Rodriguez who is a ultra-competitor used numerous way to score attacking at the hip or side-stepping (Euro) around you. He showed the ability to knock down shots  deep on the edges, but can over handle at times when trying to create at the rim. 2012/PF Tyrone Haughton (9pts/6rbs) is the perfect runner and jumper with tip-dunks and numerous quick-twitch plays. He typically likes going left shoulder and once he learns how to seal and maintain position the athletic Junior is going to have a chance to choose on which BCS school he wants to attend. Sharp-Shooter Bryan Delancy finished with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Cody Mann finished with 9 points and 5 rebounds and 3-for-3 from the line. Dr. Krop forced 17 turnovers and only had 7 fumbles of their own on the game.

North Port was lead by 2012/Combo Guard/Larry Taylor’s 27 points, as the crafty Junior went 8-for-9 from the stripe and 3-of-4 from the 3-point line. Taylor is a very heady kid who shook numerous prospects off the bounce with inside-out/hesitate and go moves, as he loves using his length to create finger rolls around the lane. Taylor is hearing from numerous Low-Division One schools at this moment. Central Florida Signee Kasey Wilson finished the game with 17 points and 8 rebounds on 7-of-19 from the field. Wilson is a super-athletic, tough nosed small forward and will develop into a great C-USA strong forward for CEO Donnie Jones.
