not surprising or anything but the antitrust suite brought by the gov against the US/AA merger has been settled and they merger is a go. no real concessions made by the airlines. warm up the US/AA mileage account consolidations.

sounds like we have until early 2015.

Just re-upped the Mrs. and I's Barclay cards.

Headed to UC Davis for a few days in January.  Undergrad enrollment is 33,000.     Bet there's probably some fun stuff to do there.  Not interested in the wine country stuff.

It's a typical nice college town but not a whole lot else.

Hello. How are you?

Has anyone ever been to Vancouver? Considering a vaca to Seattle (chick I married has never been) and I've looked into train rides that take my drunk ass north to Vancouver. Someone tell me if this is fun.

My supervisor was in Seattle to watch one of the qualifying world cup games against Panama (wife grew up there) and they went on that train ride to Vancouver... he said it was pretty cool, but its just a train ride.

Headed to Chicago tomorrow with Lady BR for her family Christmas and the Bears Packers Game.  Staying with her family tomorrow night and Saturday but getting a hotel Sunday since they live like an hour from Midway and we have an early flight home Monday morning.

I've never done it before, but I assume leaving your bags with the hotel at like noon shouldn't be too much trouble if they wont let you check in.

Where would you stay Sunday night?  First thought was use SPG points, but being a Sunday night the rates are dirt cheap.  Been looking at the W Lakshore.

Any tricks for checking in really early?  Games at 3:25 and would like to get a little bit of binging in beforehand.  Maybe even get dressed at the hotel if possible, driving in the car in full cold weather gear(25 degree game) isn't fun.

Where should we eat after the game?

In all honesty I think you'll save yourself a lot of trouble if you just stay w/ the parents another night and wake up 30 minutes earlier.

I enjoy hitting Hugo's Frog Bar when in Chicago.
