The next two days I'm in an onsen town ryokan. I am not a luxurious traveler and this is by far the most expensive room I've ever had but most rooms don't have their own private bath.

You get a pass to go to all the other public onsens (hot spring baths) and a yakata and those wood sandals to walk around the town in. Just about to leave and go get nude with a bunch of other dudes and enjoy a soak.

They serve a dinner as well. My struggles with food have been well documented on this blog, but I tried everything (except the Japanese pickles). The puffer fish was pretty damn good, and the a5 wagyu is too fatty for me but still decent. Everything else was not for me but at least I gave it a shot.

Booked a few nights at the new Universal Helios hotel in December. Got two days of tickets for the new Universal park. Pretty stoked to do it.

Stopped at the 7/11 near my hotel in Seoul and bought what I thought was a bottle of water, get outside and take a huge dehydrated swig only to discover it's soju and immediately spew it from my mouth reminding me of that time I was like 8 and slammed a glass of my dad's gin thinking it was water.
