Overhead space

Isn't there plenty of it in first class given that there are fewer passengers per row?

pre-departure booze and snacks in a glass is nice and you get to look down your nose at the riff raff as they pass you watching you drink it

Drinks and snacks are definitely better off the plane.

I can understand that people would be into the status thing.

The airport and lines to get in can be stressful and chaotic and it can be very relaxing to get into your own calmer space. Especially in business and first

So last year I took 19 vacations and with being in Atlanta right after I was in Vegas I am up to 18 this year. I think with the holidays and stuff coming up I'm gonna break 20 this year  :sdeek:

Define vacation, I want to take a run at this number
hello I would still like to learn about what is a vacation

Have your ever found an itinerary through an airline that is close to an itinerary available on the Chase portal, but not exact, and called Chase and been able to the desired itinerary? Or are the itineraries I see on the portal the same options they’ll have if I call?

The rage from having to call and talk to them because the portal never works may be clouding my memory, but i'm pretty sure if you can't see it, neither can they. Worth a shot if you have 6 hours to burn to call and book through them though.

I have a feeling that a lot of DaBigTrain's "vacations" are more like "long weekends" or "weekend getaways".

IMO "vacation" should require at minimum 2 days off from work. Maybe 3 or more but I need to think about it.

So if one had Wednesday through Friday off, let's say for Thanksgiving, and they went out of town to see their family, is that a vacation?

Or does it have to be 2 requested days off?

IMO holidays count the same as vacation days.

I'm not sure visiting family counts as vacation though. Depends on the location of family maybe.

I also meant to ask about that, but adding italics to my post distracted me enough that I forgot to address it.

So does it have to be travel outside of town that is explicitly for leisure? I think traveling to see my cousins in Austin is vacation, but traveling to *undisclosed location that is, for some people, a vacation destination* to see my in-laws is not. Nothing to do with my in-laws' personalities, it's just that we go there 4ish times a year and I only go to Austin once every 4 years.

Yeah I think it's what you do on the visit to family that also determines if it is a vacation or not. If you're just hanging at your in-laws house and going to normal restaurants or whatever as if they lives in Salina? Not a vacation. Go to the beach near the in-laws a few days? Vacation.

technically I need ten more nights but I'll get either 4 or 6 for credit card spend this month. two nights in tulsa this weekend. then possibly a couple at the shitty hyatt place by my office in KC in December and then I'll mattress run whatever I have left at the hyatt place in omaha to get over the top. photo finish for sure.
