I overheard someone try and argue how much better Dallas was than Chicago and it sparked instant rage.

WTF are people doing when they visit Dallas? I’m a prime “Dallas short vacation” target. We went once & all I remember is going to a Stars game.

JFK stuff and Fort Worth stockyards? throw in a zoo and a museum and some barbecue and that's an OK family long weekend. :dunno:

"Hey kids this is the street where a president literally got shot and his wife had to hold his brains in his head. Wanna go take some pics?"

IT'S HISTORY!

Nothing gets Kansasans hornier than Colorado mountain towns.

hahaha facts

and who the eff is listing Salida over Buena Vista, are y'all serious?

Neither is a ski town but I could at least make an argument that Salida is. Can’t do that with Buena vista. Buena vista is home to my favorite deli in all of Colorado though. Sorelle!  :Woohoo:

Telluride
Crested Butte
Aspen
Steamboat Springs
Vail\Avon
Breckenridge
Winter Park
Durango
Silverthorne\Frisco\Dillon
Pagosa Springs

This is a joke, right? I just got back from crested butte on Monday. I love crested butte. Crested butte over Aspen? Why? How?

Aspen is gorgeous but it's like being trapped in a coachella instagram influencer snow globe. crested butte 10 times out of 10 for ol mocat

Instead of worrying about what everyone else is doing, maybe you should just enjoy the crap out of the best food, views and hiking ski town that Colorado has to offer.

rd give us a write up of some highlights of your recent 6 combined cb/aspen visits!

Personal highlights include pounding drinks and food with my bros and day hiking the crap out of both places. Had a friend with a place in Aspen for a while and my best friend just bought a place in cb last year.  I’m a mild to moderately poor Kansan, so the free places along with included friends to hang out with are pretty great!

Have you every came across a mountain lion or a Ram? I saw a few as a kid when I lived out in Colorado growing up. It's amaze and terrifying at the same time.

Pretty sure we saw bear tracks outside of cb last week along with probably five foxes, a couple ‘yotes, and two little elks.

I’ve seen and almost hit a gigantic moose in between Salida and Buena vista before and have seen countless bighorn sheep in browns canyon. Have never seen a mountain lion.

I have had a moose encounter on foot and didn’t appreciate how much danger I was in at the time. They will eff your crap up as much or more than a bear.

Huh?  Maybe a sick old moose with 3 legs or something but a prime moose would eff up a human pretty bad.

i saw a baby moose in alaska from about 50 yards away. reached down to get my phone out to take a photo, and when i looked up the mom had appeared out of nowhere next to the baby moose so i left immediately. i can tell you there is no human that can take down an adult moose hand to hand. you can ALMOST walk under them without ducking!

On one of the trails just outside of south cb and north of gunni (<— local lingo) that I went on last week there was a funny sign that told you what to do if you saw a moose. Moral of the story is run.
