just looked it up, and as far as i can tell we were supposed to have quarantined.  so that kinda complicates our plan going forward.

there are at home tests that can be accepted, but i assume they are monitored in some fashion.  dunno how fool proof that monitoring is.

i don't think i have the stomach for that deception.  i think my newly formulated plan is just to postpone our flight and not take an official test until we self-test clean.

Is the extra lodging going to be a PITA $$?  This has been my "test to fly back" situation I do not want to deal with.

Yeah I wouldn't professionally test until you are clean on an at-home.  The at-homes they accept have to be proctored, basically you pull up your cell or laptop camera and they watch you shove it up your nose and put it in the test and then they 'watch' the test sit there and the results without you touching it.  Friend of mine did it this way to get back.

yeah, it will involve some extra money and will eff up our schedule a bit.  fortunately our work schedules are pretty flexible.  also, not much we can do about it.


the quarantine thing sucks because otherwise i'd be inclined to just take an official test every day until we hit clean, but with that to consider we probably want to be a little cautious about testing so it may take a day or two longer.

I was just in Vegas for some trade shows, and I was with former residents who are foodies (my new company is full of former restaurant people and we install technology in restaurants).   I'm pretty meh on the whole Vegas strip and casino stuff, but I would suggest the following restaurants if you go.

https://www.estherslv.com/    We sat a the chefs table, extremely good

https://edotapas.com/  In a pretty meh strip mall (off the strip) but it was outstanding.   Boss knew the owners, they murdered us with delicious plates

The official US DHS attestation asks if you've tested positive in the last 10 days BTW.  Not sure if a "yes" is a auto denial entry.

Maybe I'm misremembering.  It doesn't ask that.  Maybe a specific airline one did, I swear I remember seeing 10 days on something I signed.  Get your neg and come home!

DAX!!!!! I took chicat to Esther’s and it was great. Literally one of the top 5 times I have been so full in my entire life and was so good. My brother in law is a sous chef there.
