I'm going to Negril for "ski week". I'm staying at the Riu Tropical Bay because I didn't want to plan crap. But is there anything I should do on a random afternoon if we want to get off the resort?
Ski?

I will not be skiing in Jamaica

for our july kauai trip our UA flights were OMA-SFO-LIH but UA just changed them to UA-DEN-LIH. which makes for a really awful almost 8 hour second leg which a 5 and 8 yo may not enjoy. but we are now on a bird with lay flat seats for the long leg which will be cool for my tiny kids who have zero use for them.

My global entry was approved the day before I returned from Mexico so I got to use that for the first time. Skipped a 20 minute wait at customs  :gocho:

I learned this past weekend, I could never sustain living in San Diego. At least not at the luxurious lifestyle I have now. It was great, tho! Coronado was awesome!

Yes! Instead of waiting in line with sweaty security risks, I was able to scope out a primo spot at the luggage carousel

I’m going to Universal Studios Florida with a group of ten (10) people on Wednesday. Seems like maybe too many people to manage.

The Pearl District place is very close to my hotel, but eff that's some expensive chicken. Are all restaurants in Portland that expensive? Also I'm being a hater because Portland seems like there's nothing there but rain, hobos, and hipsters. The PNW has never been a place that I've wanted to go to, outside of college football games at Washington and Oregon.

They aren't all that expensive and there's no sales tax!!!

Portland is largely hipsters and hoboes and rain and it is all of those things to the max and it's part of its charm imo

Probably going to. They play the Lakers the next night but both teams will be playing back to back and the Lakers first game is against the bucks, so there's no shot of Lebron and AD against the blazers, and the Lakers tickets are like 3x more expensive.

Too far away

There’s nothing in portland, or even out to milawukie, that’s too far from anywhere in portland. Which reminded me, get steaks at a-crop.

Well, I'm meeting the directors of girls camp I'm running at this gig, probably not the best first impression to make. I'd consider going by myself, late, after one of the assuredly terrible meals I'll have, but nothing over 16oz doesn't even make it worth my time.
