Guys, Tahoe is amazing. Check into your hotel, a quick $90 win at the black jack table then take a 5 min scooter ride to the lake for some beers
Currently 83 degrees with no humidity at X thousand feet up.
Please tell me exactly where that is, I am going to Tahoe with fam in July.
Called "Beach House" in South Lake Tahoe. Only open noon to 6pm.
Just a fyi apparently you have to pay $25 per person to access the beach at this location so if you plan on bringing your gaggle of kids there are better/cheaper places. Not many better places to crush some light domestic lagers tho.
ok then tell me the Tahoe dos and donts for the whole brood.
Not sure where you are staying but here are some pro tips for South Lake Tahoe area
Went to 3 Breweries (Ranked in order)
1. North of South - Almost all outdoor seating in a shaded area with picnic tables/live band/corn hole etc. Beer was very good.
2. The Brewery at Lake Tahoe - Mainly indoor seating with a small patio. Only had 1 beer here but it was good and the bar keep was fun to talk to.
3. Stateline Brewery - Located on the main tourist drag it has a great patio but the beer was crap and the food was shittier.
Non Brewery/Gambling stuff
There are lime scooters everywhere, not sure how old your gaggle of kids are but it was super fun/cheap to jump on a lime scooter and explore the town or take them somewhere to eat instead of driving or walking. Just download the app and it will show you were the closest scooters are.
We looked into renting a boat but it was around $600 for 4 hours...not worth it for 2 people but would be fun for the family. Water will still probably be cold in July but it would be a good time, Emerald bay is pretty and where most people "cove out" (but not like ozarks cove out where everyone ties their boats together).
I believe this is a free beach where you can take the kids and also have a beer at the tiki bar...
https://goo.gl/maps/Dp4cnLm8qv7MhWPA6 The casino's have a very "90's" feel and are no where as nice as Vegas but are still a good time if you want to give your kids $20 to hit the arcade while you go slam some drinks upstairs.
My buddy had some free comps so we went up to the fancy restaurant at the top floor of Harrahs for dinner one night, excellent food and excellent view.
You take Mrs KK here and you might be adding another to your brood of kids
