Tsukiji fish market moved, but the old outer market is still there.

I'm going to Monterey, CA for a few days with mrs dave. Staying at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands. I'm not golfing. Need pro-tips. Assume just like walk around Big Sur a shitload?

you could go to Gilroy, the Garlic Capital of the World, and stick your face in this garlic bulb for a picture:

I don't have much use for Monterey. I went to the aquarium once and it was ok. Maybe there's a pretty little lies tour or something?

Kind of a long drive to Napa from there, but probably worth the effort.

And in all seriousness the aquarium is probably the best there is. The only other things I've heard of people doing there are weddings

Yeah, My bro has it setup for us, but I forget the names of the restaurants. My brother has us getting all dressed up Saturday night for his birthday, so i'm sure it's somewhere badass. 5th time there and I always forget the names of the restaurants he takes us too. Have never had a bad experience tho.

Update: He's taking us to Bayona Saturday night. http://www.bayona.com/

the abundance of 24 hr bar/restaurants that actually have good food might be my favorite thing about NO

We'll probably watch the Iowa State game at Cooter Browns too. Fun sports bar.

Yes, it's one of my favorite cities.

Had a blast on our road trip. Some of my favorite places on the way...

Monroe, LA: Had a crawfish broil the night before we left for NO. Don't even think the place has a website, but it was pretty badass and super spicy.

https://www.google.com/search?ei=HixsXMDpEcHM_AbDkIKoBQ&q=cormier%27s+monroe+la&oq=cormiers&gs_l=psy-ab.1.3.0l3j0i10j0l3j0i10l3.3687.4959..8055...0.0..0.216.1272.0j6j2....3..0....1..gws-wiz.......0i71j35i39j0i67j0i131.cIvfAV6XIAM#spf=1550593084895

New Orleans:

Napoleon house is a must stop. We saw a NO wedding taking place outside. A jazz band follows them around the street.

Did a burger place for lunch day for Mrs wacky and futre lil wacks, since Cajun food wasn't hitting the spot for them:

Their loaded banked and monsoons are the tits

https://www.portofcallnola.com/

Did the Aquarium: White Alligator for the win!

Watched the cats game here:

Cooter Browns:

Dinner was fancy AF. I listed it above. Owner bought me a Rose for some reason and kissed me on the cheek before I left. I did do a lot to setup the dinner for my bro and offered a badass toast.

Stayed in Little Rock to break up the trip on Sunday night and that city is woof city, but I did enjoy Big Orange:

Overall, New Orleans probably shouldn't be done with a completely sober wife, but we still had a good time.
