San Francisco's Golden Gate Park is incredible.

Pedal boat adventure around Strawberry Hill was a delight!

Did you go to the science museum in Golden gate park? I hope you did.

NO!  I wish!  Outdoor only.  We walked a good chunk of it though, regrettably did not make it to the tulip/dutch windmill which I was hoping for.  Will return.
What about the buffaloes

kind of sad to be honest.

Mobile Passport app rating - rough ridin' awesome

Two minutes through Customs. I was first in line and only one chick was behind me. Nobody was using it.

Don't let anyone know about it.

Don't eat salad but eat everything else. It's a great place to visit if you have a local showing you around.

BTW if you're travelling international and not using Mobile Passport, you're missing out.

does it impact global entry?

nope.   different usage.   You enter everything in the app, scan the passports, take a photo, then skip the line and go right to a CBP agent who scans the barcode and matches the photo, done.

so this sounds faster than global entry which has a fee and hence I assumed was the VIP of getting through customs....and now I'm confused.

don't be.   On our last trip back from Mexico through Phoenix we were the ONLY people who used it.   Went right to the front of the line.

This was back in 2017, so maybe its changed but this seems to say you don't get the special line at customs, only immigration?  Customs is where I've typically saved the most time with GE

Quote
The difference between this and Global Entry is that with Global Entry you skip this line entirely. The “agent” you speak with is a kiosk where you fill out this same info and scan your fingerprints. Global Entry travelers also get to go through a separate line after they pick up their bags, with Mobile Passport you’re thrown back in with the masses.

I haven't seen separate global entry lines after getting my bags, but I've only used it at SFO

I can't think of a customs area I haven't had a special global entry line.  Most recently ORD.

Looks like it's to the far right at SFO

ah. I've also never had to wait at customs at all and it's hard to tell there's two lines.

I stayed in Chelsea at Hyatt House. Flower district (awesome aromas every morning). Great views of the city. Hopped on bikes (all the way to Central Park and back), walked, or grabbed Uber. Never left Manhattan except on tour boat.

I really like East Village / Lower East Side for food tourism. Katz’s, Russ & Daughters, Various Momofukus, Ivan Ramen, Beauty & Essex, etc.

Be suspicious of everything.  Or don't.  Whatever you enjoy.  But everything is suspicious.

Confirmed global entry better than mobile passport. Much faster through immigration and through customs in special GE line at hobby last night.

Still had mobile passport loaded in case
