Monday was a 7, Tuesday was about a 6, Wednesday a 5. 0 today because we just hiked this rough ridin' mountain in western maine and I currently want to die!

that's a beautiful vacation

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Wacky, be honest.  You totally made that lobster wave its claw around and talked in a funny lobster voice right??  I hope you did anyway.

Try the fried lobster at Dimillos’s. It’s fantastic.

DiMillo’s is kind of touristy but... you will be a tourist so it will be fine.

Beaches in the NE are pretty great in August.

Thanks for the eventide oyster tip too btw, guys. We’re doing that tonight. Getting PAK’d at home right now and our legs are mush from the hike today. 8 total miles. The end result was great, but walking on constant boulders on the way up and down mumped up our mid to late 30’s asses.

Did you go to duckfat?  If you are a fry guy they were pretty good....maybe good snack after Eventide if you just do oysters there.

Good call. I hear great things about that place. I’ll let the mrs’s know. 5 days in lil Portland is a bit much to be honest. We got a great deal on this condo so we chose not to get a cabin in the mountains for a few days. They only offer this place a week at a time. I feel like we’ve at least tried to do apps at every place listed to get the experience. I think we felt underdressed when we tried to walk in there a few days ago.

The only annoying thing I found about Portland is the breweries were too spread out....lot of them not in a real walkable area.

Yes. I also didn’t realize how big of a port it was for cruises. Lots of Euros/Canadians here, which is fine, but as a former server, these servers who live about 30 miles away are getting majorly mumped on tips.

Where should I eat on a Saturday night in Minneapolis?  Where should I binge after?  Staying downtown. Will be there with Mrs. 8mp the day after my birthday.

I mean, I'm sure it would be good or at least interesting, but not likely this trip.

I had Mancini's my one time in the area. I think it's St Paul though. Pretty good

I was looking for "good" and "nice" rather than "adventurous".  I have a good Somali restaurant like a mile and a half from my house, and I haven't been there either :dunno:

It was like negative 10 degrees when I was there so I ate at the place in the hotel.  Manny's, I think.  Seemed like a nice place, but I was eating at the bar surrounded by wasted townies and NFL fans.

Alinea lived up to the hype in Chicago.  Food was amazing and the whole service is like some wild show.

I'm hitting the shittiest of the shitty airports this trip.

HINT: the two airports are close together and the first one has an extremely odd code
