I usually don't mind the leaning back of seats.  It's the lack of shoulder room that irks me.  However, i did sit through a flight from ohare to Munich with a german guy reclined back into my nuts for 95% of the flight.  Lufthansa must have seats that recline further.  The only time he wasn't reclined is when the flight attendant made him sit up so she could put food on my tray.  I needed a good lager after that damn flight.
Yeah my bigger flight pet peeve is the guy who thinks he's allowed to go beyond the vertical plane at the centerline of the armrest. I'll cede an armrest to a middle seat passenger, but I'll lean on someone and "accidentally" elbow someone who gets into my space. I'm kind of amazed how often it happens.

Does this happen pre or post man-bun?
Only pre

Well I think we have found the first reason to keep it!

I never lean back and I'm a bigger guy. It's out of due respect for how much I hate the POS's that do.

Oh man, big train is an elbow room offender :frown:

It's not on purpose.  My shoulders are legit broader than 95% of the flights I'm on.  I am a shoulder squeezer though and am very aware of my issue and try and not infringe on people  :frown:

I lean back sometimes, and I don't mind if people do in front of me, even in coach

I mean it literally only leans back like less of an inch, but still.

I also hate the really short guy that always tries to take the seat with no seat in front of it. :curse:

I never lean back.  It's not so much that it doesn't lean back that far, it's because if I happen to fall asleep I violently wake up, and I'm self conscious about it.

Exactly.  And I have the improbable ability to always select the seat next to the guy flirting with the 2 seat requirement.  Having broad shoulders myself i usually end up with my face against the fuselage, shoulders squeezed, or halfway in the aisle.

If you pick your seat right there is no issue, ever, on SW.  The SW haters are a pretty hilarious bunch, and not that smart tbh.

southwest has the best boarding in the business and the largest coach seats of all domestic airlines.  much better boarding than the cattle call that is delta.
 "first class"
"sky club"
"rest of plane"

what a rough ridin' joke that crap is.

anyway, i always kinda laugh when dickhead jones in front of me tries to recline and is denied because my knees are now lodged firmly between his t-8 and t-9 discs.  sorry bro, if you don't want a kneecap epidural, then get your rough ridin' chair back outta my business.

had a old asian lady who was all of 4" 9' try to recline once on one of those 60 person bombardier numbers.  lol, daddy says no.

The only sw haters out there are the self proclaimed elites that have their fancy jobs pay for the expensive flights through other airlines. I rather my company be fiscally smart for job security. SW gets the job done. :D

Southwest is not the cheapest any more often than any other airline, just depends on where you're going

SW is obviously the best unless you've endured so many crap flights on delta that you've earned skymiles status and you can upgrade to 1st.

when you factor in their rewards program, they are by far the cheapest

why would you chose to sit in the middle seat between anyone of any girth?  i mean, since you can literally pick any open seat on the plane, that makes no sense.  i've flown SWA hundreds of times and have never once sat in a middle seat.
