These things work. All dental grads are looking up jobs this time of year with graduation coming up in May. Last trip to Chicago I pulled 60 new grad names with their contact information and i've already hired 5 of them for my new territory. We're there to obviously brand our name at a new school (it's their first dentist grad class. Brand new program 4 years ago) and to see how many of them would be interested in jobs in Chicago, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. If I come back with a list of 50 names and we hire 1, that trip pays for itself and then some. I pretty much sell our opportunities, hand out swag, info, and business cards.

Sunglasses, chap stick, and pens. Also, hell yes! You have no clue how many people love cheap sunglasses. Also, we are giving away a $100 gift card and we usually do a TV as well.

Yeah but you never do anything extra like take someone out for dinner or something?

What am I missing here? Do I really have two non-traveling dorks like TBT and M^2 making a big deal out of this? I'm not surprised.

Making a big deal?

Yeah, not this trip. Usually we'll host a happy hour or a dinner for the students, but they don't allow that during vendor fairs. Alright, I'll stop mucking up this thread.

Phew. That trash trip just got pawned off to a rookie. Literally just got promoted to an additional territory with incentive to do so.  Will probably be hibernating for most of the next 60 days. Congrats KC and M^2.  :billdance:

I'm going to an all-inclusive at Playa del Carmen next week. Should I leave the resort? :dunno:
are you taking your kids?  Are you swimming with dolphins?

I'm taking my kids and travelling with two other families and their kids. I mean I seriously have no plans. I saw something about swimming w/ turtles which looked kind of cool. I'd like to see Tulum, too.

if Mexican ruins is your interest, Coba is the best.   Tulum is nice with the beach and all, but the ruins are much less impressive.

Tulum QuickTake: a cluster of eco-friendly boutique hotels on an amazing stretch of beach.  Great place to stay but idk why you would just visit there.  Ruins are meh.

there are turtles that typically hang out in akumal bay. getting there is easy and cheap and the beach is free. yal-ku is just up a street from it and is a really nice/peaceful hangout spot to snorkel and see tons of fish if your kids would be interested in that kind of thing.
