Really? I don't have to go. I've been to LA one time and it was with an ex when I was 21 and her sister (who lived there) took us everywhere. I don't really have a feel for the different parts of LA.

What do we think about this Norwegian Airlines company?  They have cheap 787 directs to paris from lax, like $750 roundtrip on weekends

They have good entertainment options which is big for me on long flights, especially when flying over the ocean bc no internet.

Headed to Cuba this Spring. Any tips from Cat Fans who have been? Looking for recommendations in both the "what to do before traveling there" and "what to do while you're there" categories. Hoping to bring back a suitcase full of art and sandwiches.

Bring way more cash than you think you'll need. You won't have any access to your precious American banks, you capitalist pig.

If you want good "Cuban" food, go to Miami.

Real Cuban food is just bland rice and beans. The best food you can find in Cuba is from privately owned restaurants that try to imitate other cuisines. You can find good food, but it is still uninspiring. Try to avoid state-owned restaurants, whenever possible. I had a steak from a national joint, and after one bite I realized I had made a huge bistec.

Also, they have like two beers--Bucanero and Cristal. Bucanero is a stronger, darker beer, but Cristal will be your ride-or-die. Light, refreshing, can crush all day. Cristal is your best suds bud.

Oh yeah, you better speak Spanish, or at least be attached at the hip with a Spanish speaker.
