on my last delta trip i watched an entire season of the Night Manager (starring tom hiddleston and hugh laurie) while drinking free wine.

BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FLIGHT WITH NO FEES!

also on my last delta trip i missed my first flight after sleeping through my alarm. got on the next flight at no charge because gate agent was nice.

BUT SW CARES FOR THE CUSTOMER!

because they lip sync Journey songs during NFL games?

I never fly southwest for work but fly the crap out of it for family travel. It serves an important role and I appreciate it for what it is.
Same. Although I get a kick out of the Delta fanboys.

with the ability to download Netflix and Amazon Prime, why would you need to pay for IFE?

between the CSR debacle and this mocat, hopefully 2017 is better for you!

all entertainment (which is a shitload more than SW offers) is free on flights from known cold heartless bastards Delta and American

this is a new development from AA. When I flew them in August (on the shittiest USAir plane imaginable) you had to pay for most of the entertainment.
I watched The Martian for free to DFW. Nothing free on the return to SDF though. I think they're still updating the fleet entertainment systems.

hey dlew12, what are you going to be doing in guadalajara?
in guadalajara we bounced around during the daytime and saw its main square or whatever and its big nice cathedral, then went and got faced in some very swanky vegas-y type club during the night time.  then we went to Guanajuato where we walked around the city a whole bunch and ate awesome food and went and saw Cristo Rey (which is like Mexican Christ the Redeemer).  v. fun   but v exhausting trip.  definitely out of my comfort zone but glad I went.

my wife and I had another Kauai trip booked in a couple weeks but now we are possibly moving for a new job for her so we decided to delay the trip.  I called American and asked them to change our award flight out to random dates in November intending just to delay it until we know when we're going.  the AA lady did so, and then asked me what seats I wanted, and I said "window and as close to the front as possible" so she goes "ok I've got you in rows 8 and 9 on your two legs out and rows 5 and 7 on your flights back" and I'm like... ok.  they aren't first or business, but she did randomly put us in main cabin extra at no charge on all our flights.  I was like neat lady thanks, then hung up and told my wife we have to go on those random dates in November now because we have more legroom.

Fly before 1/16 or book before 1/16? I may be going to the Dallas of the west coast (LA) 2/22 - 2/26.

It's only $150 so not something to make a brand new trip out of.  I'd planned to use it to bump a regular person ticket to first class for the upcoming work/scheme stuff, but thwarted.  If the 'hawks win saturday and tickets/hotels/other seem manageable enough, I'll try using it towards ATL.

So what was the deal using these crap Avios? The BA site sucks ass and shows absolutely no flights but if AA shows a 12.5K seat available I just need to call BA and tell them to get their crap together and get me booked?

Can you use vouchers to buy 500 mile upgrades?  I could use it for that.

edit:  nevermind....just checked and can't.
