Use it in a sentence. Like in metal? On metal?

you can book it with avios, but fly aa metal.

I still don't even understand why they are calling it metal....they want to make sure people know they are not flying on a composite aircraft?

It's important because it differentiates between a reward booking on a partner or alliance plane vs the actual plane owned and operated by the carrier. When making award bookings you have to know what carriers plane you are flying on for a lot of different reasons. You can say "AA airplane" instead of "aa metal" if it makes you feel more secure.

I'm in New York right now and my company booked me this hotel:

really, it's like exactly like that. I'm kind of embarrassed for them.

Okay! Has to be one of the following states.  California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, or Oregon.

Cold weather, not an option.

Los Angeles. Why? Best weather.

Is the traffic survivable?  Also, just out of curiosity, why the hatred for Arizona?

Arizona is hot and dirty and boring. You can survive LA traffic if you want.

the trick to living in los angeles is doing your homework up front and finding a place that you can afford and that will allow you to live close enough to your work so you're not spending two hours back and forth each way. also, there are public transportation options, especially with the new phase 2 of the train linking the westside/santa monica to westwood to downtown and pasadena/valley

but ultimately, you learn LA traffic patterns, and you work around them.  19 million people have figured it out.

it's really no different than any other city, including KC.  people love to bitch about the k10 to 435 to 35 interchange.  wut?

I travel 80% of the year.  I do not want to live in Los Angeles, from my dealings, it is disgusting.  I like Arizona.
