Both would fit you well. I just think New Orleans is so much more exciting and not just for the party reasons either. There's a crap ton of cool stuff to do there and a lot of history and of course you can binge while you do these awesome things.

Yes, New Orleans is an amazing city to visit. Amazing food, nice people, history, and truly one of a kind city.

i haven't been to either. i think new orleans sounds like a more enjoyable trip, for what i want out of this one and what i know about the city. time to see if i can find a travel partner who wants to go!

I like New Orleans more than Vegas if that tells you anything. If you go, i'll give you a list of elite places to go.

I've never been to New Orleans. I think I would like it, but all things I would want to enjoy I don't think Gooch would - jazz music, historical sites, art, etc.

That's why you make up for it with elite eats, drinks, and gambling when you're done with your stuff. I love going to the port and riding their steamboat up the Mississippi river like the old days. http://www.steamboatnatchez.com/ They also have an elite indoor Audubon aquarium that has albino alligators! http://www.neworleansonline.com/directory/location.php?locationID=1246

Planning it around the food is kinda the only way to go, imo.  You won't be disappointed.

Also, I haven't done this yet, but plan on it next time, but you can go on airboat "tours", which are basically just you going around the swamp at like 60mph on a boss airboat.
