i thought a law was passed a few years ago that they couldn't force you to stay on a grounded plane for more than like 2 hours or something

Yeah idk. I don’t think something like this has ever happened at the busiest airport in the world. There’s like nowhere for all those people to go

enjoy mexico

Yep, just booked the ride home.  I'm still in for absolutely nothing but UR's so I could puss out as it gets closer.

Haven't puss'd out and just ordered a snorkel from amazon after he said that's the lone thing to bring other than shorts, t-shirts and flip-flops.  Forgot to ask him about money, and I don't think I'd get a good answer anyway.  Probably hardly leaving the hotel and its beach where he's got some hookup and I'd use a card.  But just in case for walking-around money, how much should I have and should I exchange here before the trip?  Like to buy beers This will be PV, not real mexico.  Will beer and taco-sellers accept US single dollars?

I remember a taco shop exchanging right there at the register, but with marked up exchange rate. Two doors down, a little c-store had a better rate.

I've never exchanged money before going to Mexico.

Sucks they were on a plane, they could have driven home in under 3 hours.

Good, I'll just bring my regular walking-around cash along with my pile of singles that I'm still strangely adding to even though almost all tipping here can/must now be done via apps.

you can use your ATM card at a bank branch to withdraw cash at the bank exchange rate, or exchange US $ at a cashola.     The former rate is better, but your choice.
they will usually take dollars, but they would rather have pesos, they work long hours and last thing they want to do is wait in line to exchange, plus they get hit with exchange rates.     If you're gonna walk around town, take some tennis shoes, the uneven sidewalks and cobblestones can be tricky in flip flops.

Perfect, that all jives with what I just found here: http://visit-vallarta.com/about-puerto-vallarta/mexico-exchange-rate-currency-converter/

I'll pack flip-flops but will wear adequate sneakers as I'll have to be walking in cold-ass america before flying there and upon coming home.

this is a good place for any questions.   Uber is big now in PV as well.

T-Y.  Other than the snorkel advice and now confirming money is simple, my planning consists of knowing what time I have to be at the barber shop here to ride along to the airport.  I don't know where I'm staying, what we're doing, how we're getting around, etc.  I'm told those are all non-issues and to just plan on drinking beer in the sun for a few days and that sounds great.

I predict I'll be promptly informed it's a rough ridin' tourist trap for white boys and will be taken instead to some equivalent that's run by distant cousins.

KSU hoops chat's resurgence is coming.

Vancouver is cold af and the hockey game is super cheap when you sit loge with clients and it's all you can drink.  Locals hate Chinese drivers when it snows

lol, there are tourists there, but also a lot of locals.    But it's a great spot if you're afraid to eat from the street carts like most white people.
