Nerd type of help

I use a MacBook to view goEMAW. Recently on this site only, a bunch of blue question mark icons pop up in place of the boxes to navigate around the site. For example, the post new topic box was a blue question mark instead of new topic.

Make sense? I don't know why this is occuring.

I use safari. But it's not occuring any longer. I guess i'll never know.
